And it's up to @Dan now to attempt to secure an automatic return to the Championship for Chesterfield as we're down in fourth place, ten points behind leaders Leyton Orient but we've a game in hand as well - which'll be Dan's first game back against Rochdale.
Dan and Shed, you know I always encourage people to go after challenges, and ever since I completed this almost 3 years ago now? I've been wanting to see someone else give it a good long go. I'm glad to see that you are coming together as a team to go after this, and catching up on your reading, you've made some great progress so far! It seems that everyone pursing this challenge starts in Berwick.
Also, I couldn't help but think you we're going all Harlem Heat in the title, Danny Ray and Shedender T, and it seems very fitting to use this picture:
Let it be known that on my personal Twitch (twitch.tv/rlkdragon), I've also taken up the mantle of re-doing the British Steel in live stream format. Since FM13 and FM16, there's been some trophies added and removed, and I felt I wanted to give it a go again. I started it back in January, and I also have 8 trophies to my name. If you want to check it out, don't hesitate to follow, I stream on weekend nights.
And finally: Good luck, boys! We all need it for this one!
End the season on a slightly high note. A playoff spot was already secured. Donnelly, Winchester and Thompson netted for us in a comprehensive three nil win over Shrewsbury.
So we finish fifth, easily however now face AFC Wimbledon over two legs in the League One Playoff Semi Finals.
Annoying draw at home. We were behind after five minutes before Winchester levelled before half time for us. It looked like we won it eight minutes from time through Mahon however a ninetieth minute equaliser to set it all up for a second leg.
Well that was close! Douglas Morrison back amongst the starting line up and back amongst the goals as he put us two up in twenty eight minutes. Donnelly made it three nil before the break and we were sailing. However conceding two second half goals set up a thrilling end. But we are in the League One Playoff Final and will face Portsmouth.
Such a shame! We came so close yet fail at the final hurdle. The big occassion at Wembley was very even with Porstmouth taking the lead however us leveling ten mintues later. A late sending off in extra time wouldn't change the game. We went on to lose 3-2 on penalties.
The board requested a meeting with us following not getting promotion. We've kept our job for now. I've also extended the majority of our loans for another season, including Morrison.
We were quite poor but somehow managed to secure a 3-1 home win over Wimbledon. Rory Donnelly, James Wallace and Douglas Morrison scored our goals at the Proact Stadium.
Max Sanders, Ash Chamberlin and Rory Donnelly struck in the first half as we advanced in the League Cup. We were excellent in the first half but quite poor in the second. Glad we're through though. We will travel to Stoke in the second round.
Secured a hard fought single goal win away to Rotherham, centre back Craig Donaldson struck the winner just two minutes after the hosts were reduced to ten men.
Shedender
Drew at home to Wimbledon, Stephen Mahon scored but we couldn't get maximum points.
Shedender
Another 3 month loan signing, will be back-up as soon as Douglas Morrison returns.
Shedender
Goals from Craig Donaldson and Rory Donnelly saw us record a straight forward home victory over Exeter.
Shedender
Oh dear. How can a result as sh*t as this be tolerated? We're so inconsistent!
Shedender
Dull.
Shedender
Red card changed the complete complex of the game. Douglas Morrison scored on his return to the starting XI though.
Shedender
Wasn't a great game but Douglas Morrison's goal inside the opening twenty minutes turned out to be the winner against Wycombe.
Shedender
Made hard work of securing maximum points at struggling Coventry. Rory Donnelly's goal on sixty seven minutes turned out to be the winner.
Shedender
Left it late at the Proact Stadium but we managed to beat Gateshead 3-1. Kyle Devlin, Rory Donnelly and Douglas Morrison the scorers.
Shedender
A bad game at the DW Stadium as not only did we go down two one away to Wigan but also lost not one but two strikers in the process.

A Ryan Donnelly hatrick secured a three nil win at home. Dominant showing for us. Six games to go
Dan
Back to back wins to kick off my final stint of the season! We're edging closer to securing a playoff spot. Stiill level on points with second place.
Dan
Dull, poor draw.
Dan
And again, automatic promotion is slipping away from us.
Dan
Automatic promotion now seems gone, A poor three one defeat against Luton and at home!
Dan
We led at the break, lost at the final whistle.

I don't understand how we didn't win this game, far the better side. Jon Taylor scored our goal.
Shedender
Douglas Morrison strike saved rescued a point but we were unacceptably poor against Crewe.
