3 London derbies in a row in November as usual. West Ham at home the day after my birthday might be worth a trip.

It's days like today you realise you're not a Premier League club for at least a season.

I swear it was mentioned somewhere Liverpool might have to swap venues for their game with Burnley to it being a Burnley home game, as Liverpool's new stand won't be finished in time.

Yeah.

Whose idea was it to put the FL fixtures out next week?

We've asked to swap the home fixture, the new stand will be ready but they just want more time to be 100% sure.

Tough start for us! Conte would really do well to start with a win against West Ham, hopefully we can manage to do that.

Can't wait for the City vs United game! Should be interesting seeing Pep and Mourinho fighting it out. Just a shame it is so early in the season!

Do we talk about pre-season here?

Saw that Petrov made an appearance for Aston Villa in their recent friendly, surely at the age of 37 and looking rather stocky he isn't a realistic option for them?

Not sure, but it was amazing to see after all he's been through.

Should be a fun season.

Unless you're an Arsenal fan.

Boro have built a very exciting side that will go down with 16 points this year.

Bruce leaves Hull.

Favourite for the vacant Sunderland job?

Wouldn't have thought so, he did okay initially there last time but it ended on a sour note. Surely they'll get Moyes in, what next for Bruce I don't know.

Don't see him getting another Permiership team if he doesn't end up at Sunderland. A promotion challenging Championship team is probably a more realistic aim. Maybe he'll be down here in Ipswich come Christmas, I don't think Mick McCarthy will last the season unfortunately.

Maybe Wolves if they've just been taken over and they don't fancy Jackett.

I'm used to the board treating fans like shit.

Is it too soon for arbitrary and meaningless predictions that end up being utterly wrong?

Don't think the Community Shield is worthy of its own thread, so will post here about it.

Kick off today at 4pm, Leicester v Man United. Mourinho does not have a good record in the competition, I think the Leicester players will be more up for it too. As such, I'm going to plump for a 3-2 Leicester win!

Would be surprised if we won. Our pre-season's been poor and we'll have to treat it as another run-out rather than a proper game (arguably it is anyway).

Be interesting to see if Mourinho plays what I'd consider his best team which I think is the side we picked against Everton in the first half with Mkhi in for Lingard.

I'm loving the journalists on Twitter reporting Mata having to be 'restrained' by staff because he was 'furious' at being subbed off. He asked Mourinho why, he got a response and then smiled, nothing to report at all.

Good result, Eric Bailly was very good, lovely goal from Lingard and great to see Zlatan getting the winner. Good job done.

BBC pundit predictions.

Dean Saunders and Chris Waddle must have been drunk when they did that.

Today's the day. Any final top four and bottom three predictions?

Mine:

1. City
2. United
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal
--------------------
18. Watford
19. Burnley
20. Hull

I think it'll be between us and City for the title, it'll be close however to be honest I think City will edge it. Chelsea will come back with a bang, Arsenal will get top four as usual, Tottenham and Liverpool to occupy 5th and 6th.

Hull are pretty fucked, I don't think Burnley are good enough and I think Watford will struggle without Flores.
