Fucking hell state of some clubs. Makes Bury FC look like we're run as good as Apple or McDonalds.

I actually quite enjoyed Gigg Lane last year, well, not so much for the cup game. One fence seperating our drummers. I'd love us to trim the DW down to a 16-18k capacity, get rid of the red that's there just to please the egg chasers and create a bit of atmosphere other than Will Grigg's on Fire. Wish we played away every week.

Face Wolves tonight at St. James', looking to put right what happened on Saturday when Wolves somehow (and deservedly so) won 2-0. Potentially crashing out tonight isn't the be all and end all as the league and securing promotion back to the Premier League needs to be the #1 priority but nonetheless, I'd still love us to progress to the next round.

We used to always beat Leeds away, then along comes Owen Coyle and we've lost there twice in a week....one of many records that will be set this season I imagine.

Xhaka with another (though slightly deflected) thunderbastard and two for Perez, almost a perfect nights work. Can't wait for the Chelsea game Saturday evening now.

Pickford, Denayer, O'Shea, Djilobodji, van Aanholt, McNair, Kirchhoff, Ndong, Watmore, Gooch, Asoro

Careful, there Moyesy, don't be too gung ho. Two attacking minded players is more than enough.

Home to Preston, if we can avoid any complacency against our Champ 'rivals' then it's a great chance to progress.

6-0 in the end last night with both Mitrovic and Diame hitting braces against PNE.

Ritchie (pen) and Ayoze Perez the other scorers and into the Quarter Finals we go. Preston had ten men for a large part of the game but still... If we get the "luck of the draw" then we could easily be in the semis but of course we'll draw either Man Utd/Man City.

Didn't your first teams just recently play when you won 3-0?

Looks like Mourinho doesn't fancy Mkhi either, fuck knows why we signed him.

Extremely strange isn't it.

Is he injured or Mourinho just literally not even including him in squads now?

If he was injured Jose surely would have mentioned it? The situation is utterly bizarre.

I've had nightmares about Rojo/Blind in central defence.

Mourinho said he wasn't injured last week.

It was always a ridiculously risky transfer and one we should have avoided. It took him 3 seasons to settle in at Dortmund and I saw more shite performances from him in those games than I think I saw from any other supposedly 'good' player in my life (even Rooney) in that time. When he was bad he was really bad.

I suppose you have to say its early and you should give him time, but I said when we first linked to him I'd like to see us sign a better calibre of player and I was worried abut his mentality and how he would cope, so I'm not surprised to see him struggling.

Honestly at this point the quickest fix for this team is dropping Zlatan and Pogba.

Nice win. First 15 mins of the second half we played some good stuff. City barely threatened.

Nice to see Schneiderlin existing.

How did they do an 8 team draw with 7 numbers..

Edit: Ignore me, I'm an idiot But shouldn't Newcastle be 6 and United be 5 / is it not alphabetical?

Liverpool vs Leeds.
Man united vs West ham
Hull vs Newcastle
Arsenal vs Southampton.

Good to see hull or Newcastle guaranteed a semi final spot, think united vs West ham and arsenal vs Southampton will be tight

Pep's ode to Van Gaal tonight. More of the ball, but no incision, no intent, no pace, no shots on target.

In fairness I never thought Pep's job would be difficult here because City couldn't play good football, on the contrary, they probably played the best stuff in the league when they could be arsed but to drill into his side a winning mentality and consistency. I'm not sure he's shown anything so far to suggest that he can do that yet, but its a process to borrow a Van Gaal-ism and he was never going to be able to do that over night.

They're fucking lofting it to Aguero/Ihenacho/Sterling, misplacing passes, even Aguero couldn't string anything half decent with the ball when he came on, some bad touches lost him the ball countless times. It was literally like us vs United, no quality going forward.

Could, although if you've seen our LC quarter final record, I wouldn't be too confident.

I don't think Hull are a better team than Newcastle tbf - the away draw makes it tricky but since Fulham we've won every game bar a lucky as fuck (for them) draw with Villa away from home.

Well, I've probably seen better penalties hit at amateur league level. Fucking brutal. Should've won it in the ninety minutes though.
