I know LvG was a bit mad, but David Moyes is on another level, he is fucking deluded. His latest comments, fucking hell.

Saying that he was unfairly treated at United? If so, very baffling yep.

He seemed to be claiming that he shouldn't have been sacked after 10 months because he signed a 6 year contract - doesn't matter how long the contract is, if you're doing a piss poor job then you have to go. Did he expect the full 6 years with those results??

As per Juve's statement this deal is nowhere near as bad as it came to be reported. They ended up spending more on Higuain than they will make off us, kinda incredible.

Hopefully they decide they want Sissoko for 35m to replace him.

I honestly never thought I would see the day Utd would break the World transfer record, been a fan for over 40 years

so glad we have got a player we have needed for years the price is totally over the top but as said above Juve paid nearly as much for Higuaín who is almost 29 so overall doesnt look a bad price when you consider that

still a few issues to overcome though ....if jose wants to build the team around Pogba he has to go 4-3-3 and that means binning rooney and I have no problem with that

Beautiful stuff. Great statement of intent, fingers crossed for a great season.

Ed Woodward is definitely in my good books now. Jose wanted four players and he got all four. I've also read that United are paying none of the agent fee - bravo Ed.

Anyone get the feeling the deal was done a while ago and its release was delayed so that Adidas could get its marketing ready?

Thank fuck that marketing campaign is over.

Pogba being driven around Manchester in a Chevrolet, that bellend Stormzy having some stupid video with Pogba. Die.

Looking forward to seeing him play but hope United fans aren't expecting miracles from him otherwise he's doomed from the start

I don't see Jose being as lenient with Rooney as Van Gaal was. Think we'll initially see a 4-5-1 with Rooney behind the striker and depending on Rooney's performances (barring a miraculous upturn I'm not expecting much...) can see Rooney being binned to bring in the 4-3-3 which'll be the long term plan anyway.

A midfield 3 of Pogba and any two of Schneiderlin/Herrera/Blind would be just lovely

I imagine most players would look pretty shit if you make a video compilation of every bad touch, pass and shot, and ignore everything else they did.

I'm not exactly arguing that he had a good game (although as usual with our fan-base its being ridiculously exaggerated quite how bad he was) but you can tell that from the compilation videos floating around which include his good moments too; the lengths some people will go to to criticise Rooney is a bit sad.

Their videos wouldn't be as long as Rooney's though.

That video could have been any Rooney game from the past two/three years. You could make a video of the other players from that match, but they wouldn't be as bad as that, so many unforced errors. And it happens in every game he plays pretty much. For people who don't watch United/Rooney week in week out like us it's an eye opener to how bad he really is.

It's scary that Mourinho supposedly doesn't see how damaging it is to keep him in the starting XI. Mkhitaryan, Rashford, Mata, Herrera, Lingard, Januzaj etc. can play in the position Rooney plays and they would have a far more positive influence on the game than Rooney could. I'm hoping Mourinho is eventually going to phase him out.

You can see why there's so much frustration from the United fans.

I maybe criticized for what I'm about say, but I'm glad Jose Mourinho didn't resort to dirty tactics. And try to kick City off the field like he has done in the past with previous clubs when he come up against Pep Guardiola's teams or Barcelona.
And I've got be honest City deserved there win with their first half performance.
If it wasn't that goalkeeping error from Claudio Bravo at the end of the first half. We wouldn't had sniff at all.
I blame the board for trying hard enough to get Pep to come to us.

Zlatan's done his ACL and PCL according to Di Marzio.

At his age, despite how fit he is, that could be a career ender.

And Rojo's apparently ruptured ligaments too ffs.

Horrible news for them both. It's probably going to be the last time we see Ibra in a United shirt, hopefully not the last time we see him playing football. His career shouldn't end like this.

We only have one fully fit centre back. Shit.
