It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

Both of you should watch this video on how to change your user data folder. I do the same on my system and it all works perfectly fine. Although the steps are for FM16, they still work for FM17.

Actually, there seems to be a problem with that particular icon also at my end. I've amended the main cut for 9.01, which will be released this week, so hopefully the iconface will be amended accordingly when it's created

Anyone help in terms of updating the packs. I've downloaded the megapack but the latest updates aren't showing. When I download the latest facepacks, do I just copy the pics or do I need to include the config.xml icon as well into the megapack folder.

I want to add the cut out faces but don't feel I need 8GB worth of photos. Which parts 1-20 will cover the main leagues and players e.g. England Prem-L2, Champions League, Spain, Germany, France, Italy?

I'm afraid it doesn't work like that, it's all or nothing. There's no way of automatically selecting images by league and/or division, or anything really. Just think of the admin involved in sorting them manually and keeping tabs on transfers, staff movements etc.

Seems the issue is with the wonderkids that don't seem to be showing.
I can locate the pics of those players in my faces file plus they're all in the config ID page.
Latest - Got them all working apart from Pullisic his pic is blurry for some reason

It should 177,000 but the difference is not that important. I thought it may have been the case that you downloaded a partial version of the megapack.
I'm not sure how you managed to get an icon version of Pulisic instead of the main cut. Just save the 8.06 cut from here instead of it, and you'll be fine

What is displayed in-game: Is it a blank space or is it the default black cut?

yes this works but why can't i use the graphics then? if i'm mid game i can put them in fine, but next time i load the game up it gets stuck

Load the game without graphics and enter the preferences. Make sure that the use skin cache button is ticked and reload the skin. Quit the game then place the graphics folder in the right place. Open the game again. Does it still get stuck now?
Out of curiosity, how long are you waiting for the game to load? Also, can you give me a screenshot of the exact place (displaying the path clearly) where you are placing the graphics?

I don't have a config.xml file, only a visit sortitout link and 78,687 files are in the folder, the whole facepack was downloaded though
