It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

I then checked Barcelona tho and not one of their youth players have pics either ,, and yet all the first team pics are updates. Its almost as if its not showing youth team players only. Before I give up and scrub everything is there an option somewhere to not display youth pics or something that could be a simple fix before I resort to starting again from scratch. I assume players in the Rangers and Barca youth are supposed to be there,,esp if I had some of them before?

Downloading the 9.0 torrent pack will hopefully help you out. These are the Barcelona and Rangers squads in FM17. There are some small gaps, but you should broadly have everything there

I downloaded the megapack a couple of days ago, and it worked fine. But yesterday - not so much. I only got to the loadingpage at startup, so after a while i tried to remove all of my graphics - and that worked. So i started to import graphics one at a time, and every logo and kit worked fine - but as soon as I imported the megapack it stopped.
While in-game, I got stuck on the loading-message and if i restarted the game, I got stuck on the loadingpage.
I deleted the whole file and downloaded it again, extracting it as I'm writing, so I don't know if its still a problem. But just wanted to know if you've encounterd this problem before?

The huge size of the file means that it will unavoidably increase the startup loading time, especially if you have an older and/or slower PC. I had an older PC which took me some 5-7 minutes to load the game up, for example.
One way round it is for you to be patient and wait for the game to load up the first time you add the megapack. You would then go into the preferences and TICK the use skin cache button. This will mean the game takes a snapshot of your graphics folder (amongst other things) and would use it to load the game the next time round, rather than having to load the whole folder every time FM is loaded. It'll still take a little while, but should not be anywhere as long.
Just keep in mind, however, that you will then need to untick it, load your skin, then tick it again, every time that you add, edit or remove entries from your graphics folder.

I downloaded this cut out player faces megapack since last year, I downloaded from torrent since version 8.0 and then I always update regularly from version 8.01 to the latest version for FM 2017, version 9.01, and before I start a new save, I want to make sure, how many total files in this Megapack?
So this is the number of files in my documents folder, faces folder contains 177.020 files and iconfaces folder contains 177.243 files, is that amount of files already correct? or I missed some player faces in the facesfolder? I think there is something wrong here, because the number of files between those two folders did not show the same number.

Over the years, a number of images were either assigned incorrectly, duplicated or deleted from the main folder and the main megapack was amended accordingly. This shouldn't affect your game at all so just don't worry about it

please forgive my noobish question here.
Last year I skipped FM16 so I have no downloads from that. I just purchased FM17 and upon downloading the cutout megapack 9.00 + 9.01 changes I only have around the 131.000 images and not the 177.000 as said to be in it.
What am I overlooking here? Do I need to also download another pack of some sort?

I downloaded the files all separately which took me close to a full day.
sortitoutsi_cutout_megapack_9.00.part01.rar until sortitoutsi_cutout_megapack_9.00.part19.rar
All these files together were: 7,80 GB
And then I also downloaded the sortitoutsi_cutout_megapack_9.01_changes.rar
This file was: 54,4 MB
I did get an error here and there when extracting the rar's saying that some of the images in the .rar were broken.
Apart from the links in here I wasn't able to find another download location unfortunately.

The whole megapack is around 8.3GB and it looks like you're not getting it all somehow.
I suggest you download the torrent file which contains the whole 9.0 megapack. To find it, scroll down this screen until you come to the torrent tabs and download the 9.0 version. To be fully up-to-date, you would still have to download the 9.01 update pack separately as a single file download.

Thank you for the tip and I actually already have everything else set up from the license fix to the logopacks and brighter footballs.
Only thing I've been waiting for years is multiple monitor support. I cant believe why it has been added yet because a game like FM will benefit immensely from it. Unless it now is supported and I'm missing something.
Thinking about switching to a 21:9 monitor to at least be able to have more information screens open in FM.
