£100k p/w for a 34 year old goalhanger who contributes nothing to general play and a third of his goals coming from pens.

Yeah that's fantastic business

At the bottom of the table, it could well be. I'm not suggesting he's gonna join Chelsea or compete with Harry Kane. For a newly promoted team, a reliable penalty taker who can cope with the Premier League should be more appealing than taking a risk on a hopeful from abroad who has never played here before.

I was wrong about £100k p/w btw. He's gonna be on £130k p/w. Eddie Howe's transfer record is fucking terrible.

A great move for him.

Apparently Allardyce wants to leave Palace. Obviously aiming for the Barcelona job.

He's put out a statement effectively confirming his retirement.

For the right manager, Palace do seem like a decent opportunity. Yet they never seem to find anyone able to do anything for more than a couple of months then who finds a way to let them down.

So 5 out of 15.
He's scored 30 goals in the last two seasons in one of the worst teams ever in the Prem. That's not a bad record for a 34 year old, would be a class signing for anyone top 10 downwards.
And I've read closer to 90k plus bonuses. Which is nothing these days

Everyone should be shit scared of City next season. They were absolutely lethal in the closing weeks in the season, only gonna get better once they sign Kyle Walker & Mendy too. Sane, Sterling, Bernardo, Gabriel Jesus as their young talent is frightening.

Marco Silva could do better imo.
Zabaleta to West Ham to replace Arbeloa. Most West Ham signing ever tbf,
Man City will be unstoppable if they sign Kyle Walker.

Are they brining in a new goalkeeper? They need too! A lot depends on Kompany keeping fit too in the centre of their defence.

They have a brilliant attack but not a very solid defence. They need a RB + LB and a keeper and that would be them sorted!

Be amazed if Antoine Griezmann will be allowed to leave for anything less than his buyout after Atletico had their ban upheld.

City have signed Ederson, reminds me of Chelsea after Mourinho's first season of his second spell, getting their business done extremely early. (Although City still need more).

L'Equipe reporting we've made a €100m bid for Kylian Mbappe. We'd be a very good stepping stone for him and would never stand in his way of Madrid. Assurances like that make me think we do actually have a slight chance of getting him

That is too much for you to be a stepping stone really. 99% sure you won't sell him for more than that so that would be fairly poor business.

No-one thought Napoli would make a profit on Higuain when they bought him for ~£30m. We're pretty much guaranteed to at least break even if he joined us for ~£100m.

Dembele (The Celtic one) looks to be going to AC Milan.

Is this a sign of how far Milan have fallen these past years? Or how over-rated Dembele is?

That Liverpool statement is the equivalent of being friend-zoned. Pussies
