For me, really struggled with left back.

Carrick out, Fellaini in.
Zabaleta out, Rafael in.
Garrido out, Baines in.

Shit fellaini, I'd swap him for Cazorla, not Carrick.
Zabaleta overall imo.
I really don't think Baines has been as good as he could be this season.

*I haven't seen enough of Baines to choose him out-right over Clichy but I've seen enough for him to get at least a mention.

I don't care if it's biased.

Glen Johnson has had a better season imo, much improved defensively and still a threat going forward.

Well played, Sir.
bluemoon.
Has he balls. He's definitely better going forward but Zabaleta's easily the best all-round right-back in the league (and he's up there with Cole and Baines as one of the best full-backs in the league).

Why has the 3-2-3-2 not caught on? Combines the best aspects of the 3-5-2 and the 4-3-2-1. Five defensive players, midfield triangle, room for three creative players, two wingers and a strike partnership.
No Newcastle player deserves to be anyway near that team unfortunately.

Jaaskelainen's been more valuable to his team than Begovic imo. He has a lot more saves than Begovic too I think.
In LCM I was going to put Ki instead of Michu as he starred more as a second-striker and Ki's been pretty impressive fitting into Swansea's style of play so far.

Bassong has been quite fantastic this season you fool.
TheClassicK
You obviously haven't watched enough of Bassong
The reason why I chose Jaaskelainen over Begovic who everyone seems to go with is because according to ESPN Begovic has 59 saves in 21 apps while Jaaskelainen has 82 in 20 apps. Although Jaas conceded 4 more goals I'd say the difference of +20 saves between the two overcomes the fact that Stoke have a better line of defenders, therefore Jaas' contribution to his team has arguably been slightly greater than Begovic who has also been very impressive.

I'm sorry, didn't realise this was the 'who's been pretty good this season' thread.'
There's much better options than them two, but its down to opinion I guess.
jumberto
Do you not think it's telling that nearly everyone has picked him?
Carroll.
K3V0
Name those much better options for me.
