Why has the 3-2-3-2 not caught on? Combines the best aspects of the 3-5-2 and the 4-3-2-1. Five defensive players, midfield triangle, room for three creative players, two wingers and a strike partnership.

It'll get destroyed on the wings, presumably.

A back three would do well against 2 strikers (spare man and all), but add wingers to the equation and with clever movement from the 2 up front and that back three will be pulled apart.

And assuming your wingers don't track back (as opposed to wingbacks) then there's virtually no one to track the opposing widemen.

Just my 2 cents anyway. :/

Yeah Jaask and Bassong have been awesome this year.

Jaask and Begovic have definitely been the best 2 keepers in the league and Bassong and Shawcross have probably been the best 2 CB's.
