Wait, you think that was serious?

Wow, just pointing it out. I wasn't aware the BBC was going for the sarky angle. I'm sorry that we can't all be as good as you as spotting it Deano.

Lewis Holtby is joining Spurs in the summer apparently.

I thought it'd be Arsenal.

Pato has finally signed for Corinthians. €15M, four year deal.

I hope he does well, he could have been an incredible striker had it not been for the injuries.

He's still young enough to carve out a really nice career for himself. If he stays fit in Brazil I doubt it'll take longer than 18 months before he's back in Europe again.

Milan really do look like absolute cunts for not selling him to PSG when they could have though.

Why should they? They'd basically have strengthened one of their potential rivals in Europe.

Selling to Corinthians is more 'out of sight, out of mind', I would think.

I'd presume he's talking more about the money they could have got from PSG, rather than looking cunts for not letting Pato go somewhere in Europe.

Wasn't the figure almost double what Corinthians had paid?

I hope he does.

Isn't Robinho going back to Brazil too? I read somewhere Santos have pulled out?

Holtby should be a really good signing for Spurs, if they land Damiao and/or Willian they'd have a pretty formidable midfield and frontline.

Aye, think the rumours said it was something like €35-38M.

Milan want to get rid of him, but they are struggling to find someone willing to take his wages. Santos have apparently bought Walter Montillo, so they're out of the discussion.

I think their still negotiating, it's either a €2m difference in the transfer fee or his wages, either way, he didn't train today and I'd say it's more likely he'll go than stay.

Pretty mental to think Milan have lost Ibra, Cassano, Pato and possibly Robinho from their front line in the last 6 months or so.

Good signing for Spurs, great player but there are other areas we need to strengthen so not too disappointed we missed out.

Gutted that we've missed out on Holtby, and even more gutted we've lost out to them. I get the feeling it's going to be a long, depressing January,

Should hopefully know whether David Villa will sign sometime next week.

Andre Arshavin rejected a loan to Reading, prick.

Johan Djourou has joined Hannover on loan i believe, plus Miguel and Squillaci could also be going out on loan and if true, i'd expect us to be signing a new centre back.

Though going by what Wenger has been saying in recent interviews, we won't be signing anyone...

I thought it'd all stop after he joined Madrid, but seeing as he's been off form it's happening again!

I assumed the Sneijder rumours would have been stronger too haha. Bender is linked to us too today.

He was voted worst La Liga signing of the season so I think he wants to move back to the Premier League

He's so overrated though.

No matter how good you are at passing, you need to be getting more than 2/3 assists and goals a season if you're going to cost 35 million.

Inconsistent, rather than overrated, I'd say. I mean, he was man of the match when Croatia played Spain in the Euros, he looked incredible against Xavi and Iniesta and ran the show. What I would say is that whilst he is capable of performing to a Sneijder-at-Inter-esque level circa 2009/10, he often made a meal out of playing against West Brom at home for Spurs, and other such inconsequential games. You might even think that he tries to peak his performances for the international stage.

Arsenal have told Everton that Tomas Rosicky will not be leaving the club in the January transfer window – just days after the Toffees made tentative enquiries for the Czech Republic midfielder.

The 32-year-old’s time in north London has been severely disrupted by injury and he has only played once this season following further problems.
Everton manager David Moyes is in the market for a creative midfielder after missing out on the signing of Schalke ace Lewis Holtby who signed a pre-contract with Tottenham last week.

Keen to keep

However, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger still sees Rosicky as a part of his plans and is prepared to give the former Borussia Dortmund man more playing time in coming games as Arsenal face a traditionally congested January fixture list.
Furthermore, Wenger considers the Czech a more ‘reliable’ alternative to Aaron Ramsey, but has opted to play the Welshman on the flanks in recent games to aid his development into a central midfielder.

Rosicky’s current contract expires in June 2014 and several clubs outside England have already shown interest, including Russian giants Spartak Moscow who made a formal offer last January.

It isn't aiding him, its destroying his career ffs.
