£75million feels excessive.

Dunno if its helped Southampton to hold out and keep him there this season given he looked like he could not be bothered in his cameo this campaign for a team that has a poor looking forward line

£75m. Frightening.

Plenty of money for Southampton there but they look dire under Pellegrino so they'll have to spend it well to look a decent team all of a sudden.

£75M for Van Dijk is excessive. However, the problem is in todays age that will be seen as a 'Normal' fee due to the excessive spending. He is a good strong defender and will be able to do a job for Liverpool which is what they need.

£75m is obviously far too much for Van Dijk but if that's what gets them CL football instead of Europa League then it's worth it. But still, he isn't even the best CB in the League, it is a huge amount.

Barkley basically a done deal and now we have Carroll linked to us. What the hell is going on at the club?

Are Chelsea just buying Barkley so no one else can? It's like Conte's playing football manager Don't see where he fits into the team at all

I'm amused by the fact you think Conte has any say in any of this.

Bet Everton must be pleased he turned Chelsea down on deadline day, didn't get fit to play another match, and then left for Chelsea anyway for £20m less.

Still something rather than losing on a free transfer, mind.

It was Barkley who pulled out, not Everton.

Emenalo's no longer there though? I thought with him gone Conte had full control now.

They should implement this as a feature in FM19.

You sort of can though, in Staff Responsibilities you can cede transfer duties to your DoF or Chairman.

What if you couldn't toggle it, though? That'll be interesting. Maybe it does already happen in FM. Just haven't been to a club with that savage a board yet.

Coutinho gone, 135 million profit. Happy with that tbh. He's obviously a class player but if we're smart with who we bring in it'll improve us as a team, DM and a keeper would be better than a Coutinho replacement imo.

Do you think it will happen in January?

I think we'll bring in at least 1 player, dont think it'll be a keeper though, January seems like a bad time to buy a keeper.

Yea, guess that is right. Would probably sell one of them as well?

Why not bring Nabi Keita now?

RBL don't seem keen to let us have him now. Not sure its worth spending extra to bring him in now, as for sales i think Mignolet will go rather than Karius (he has age on his side). I'd love for us to go for Doucouré tbh this window.

I know i said we didnt have to sign a direct replacement but apparently we've agreed a 50 million deal for Mahrez

Although apprently senior sources have said we don't have any interest in him so who knows!

Would absolutely love it if Mkhitaryan fucked over Mourinho by refusing to join Arsenal and scuppering the Sanchez deal

I can understand why he wouldn't wanna join us but then i don't understand why he would wanna stay there, at least with us he'll get on the pitch.

The trouble is Mourinho has, for whatever reason made it clear Mkhitaryan isn't favoured at the club so as far as Mkhitaryan he'll likely be gone in the summer anyway, plenty of clubs in a better position than Arsenal would be after him if thats the case, Mourinho's treatment of him has devalued his pulling power in this deal imo

I love the fact that Conte has no fucking idea what is going on with the club, transfers in particular....

We are such a mess in that aspect.

Mkhitaryan - no, no, no, no.

No just fuck that, and he's got that fucker Raiola trying to squeeze as much out of this deal.

I'd rather Sanchez stay at this point, Mkhi is the Armenian Walcott in that they are both completely ineffectual at times, and he's got the bonus of Mino fucking Raiola adding to the chaos. I'd bet on him slagging off Koscielny by the end of the season and angling for a move to China.

At least if this Alexis deal goes through Mourinho will shut up about not spending as much as City, 180m its going to cost for a 29 year old. Mental.

Are the Chelsea rumours literally just people thinking of the most random rumours they can make up and get away with it?
