I think that its pretty obvious he wouldn't accept an offer like that, i wouldn't either.

As long as they don't get relegated I think Southampton could be a wise career move for Forren. He will (probably) get to play on a regular basis and if he proves himself as a decent centre back in the Premier League, bigger clubs can well be in for him in a year or two. Experience and first team football is alpha omega for him now.

A Premier League centre back duo of Hangeland and Forren for Norway sounds good too. They have already established a promising partnership and with Forren's Southampton transfer going through I only think it's going to get better.

Apparently he turned down a big offer from Zenit, as the only option for him was Premier League. Several other European sides were interested as well.

I read something that said Hangeland might leave Fulham for free during the summer.

Is that true?

I can't imagine Newcastle United not having that in contracts either or the majority of other Premier League clubs who couldn't afford to go down and still be paying Premier League wages.

His contract is expiring so maybe. I dont think he's as good as he was anyway.

Remy would have to take an 80% cut or something in the summer anyway, to be on a Championship level wage.

Most clubs do have relegation wage clauses, but most players aren't signing purely for financial reasons while relegation remains a probability.

In the Fulham games I've seen this summer he hasn't been as good as he was.

Remy is clearly signing for financial reasons though as Newcastle are a bigger club with a better squad, a better manager and are playing in the Europa League. All he has to look forward to at QPR is a big fucking mess that will most likely end in relegation.

What with people saying Xabi Alonso is after a move back to England, you never know when you'll need to kick him in the chest

Liverpool have agreed to meet with Ajax 23 year old attacking midfielder Siem De Jong later this week for contract talks, according to Ajax chairman Hennie Henrichs in a interview with Dutch paper Telesport.

De Jongs transfer fee is about £10m, but Ajax are willing for a cut down to £3,5m if Assaidi is a part of the deal.

I hope to god QPR get relegated.

In other news Lucas Piazon has apparently joined Malaga on loan for the rest of the season. Which there has been talk that it could be part of a deal for Malaga's Isco, who Chelsea are apparently interested in. How true the second part of that is, is still to be seen.
