Frequently Asked Questions
If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.
If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.
If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, applying the oldest first and continuing to apply update packs in the chronological order in which they were released.
Contrary to previous versions of the game, there is no need to change any settings in the preferences in FM26.
If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.
These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. It might be for FM24, but the steps are exactly the same.
Otherwise, follow the steps in this comment and post the results so that we can assist you.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍
It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.
Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

This is what the MP folder should look like:
Anything beyond the blue line is up to you and how you want to structure your folders. But it MUST be WITHIN the graphics folder. Your screenshots suggest the 11.03 folder is directly in the Sports Interactive folder, which is WRONG.

Thanks for the hint I will download everything slowly and I will try to upload it will inform you again thanks

However, with the latest update, none of the images seem to be appearing for me. It has been fine with all of your previous megapacks and updates but this one just doesn't work. I have tried redownloading the full megapack again and still no luck.
Any help would be much appreciated
mons
Thanks for your kind words
That's a bit of a strange one, all's fine my end. You will probably have made a mistake when installing the files for 11.03 - can you give me a screenshot of your current megapack folder? And what exactly is the issue? Do you get a blank space or the black default image?
henrytg
EDIT: For the record, the logos aren't working either
mons
That folder structure looks perfectly fine
Can you try changing skins around in-game? Just in case...
Also, what is the size of the faces folder - how many images do you have in there?
Finally, can I have a look in the Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 2019 folder?
henrytg
Also, no config.xml folders in the folders shown for the logos, but I don't know if that's normal...
But here's my FM19 folder anyway...

I recently downloaded the full facepack with one of the free sites and did everything as suggested. I extracted them over WinRar and have them saved in the graphics folder I created. While downloading (because it takes quite a while) I was reloading the skin after every new folder out of the 16 parts to see if it worked/how many players I already had loaded. It worked pretty well up until around the 13th or 14th folder when - after again reloading my skin - suddenly all the faces were gone. I tried loading everything again without those two folders but it isn`t working. Also, only half of the folders had the config file but adding it to all of them didn`t do anything either.
Another thing: Are you supposed to have all player faces before the `update` files? Because I didn`t have a whole lot and just figured They`d have the rest.
Would appreciate some help.

Right, worked out the issue. my RAR extractor wasn't extracting all the files for some reason. Anyway, changed the app I'm using and it works

My understanding of the pack when downloading it via split files is that you should download ALL the packs. Once they're all in place, extracting the first one will see a chain reaction of all the packs being extracted in the correct order. It looks like you may have not done this correctly.
The safest bet at the moment would be to delete all the files you've downloaded so far and download the whole thing again, this time via torrent (guide on how and where to do so in the opening post of this thread). The torrent file downloads the whole 11.0 megapack. To be fully up-to-date, you would then need to download the 11.01, 11.02 and 11.03 update packs and apply them in order...

When i go in to the folders of the megapack and open the images they all appear as normal.
It's happening with every player, this is just one example.
Any ideas what the problem is?
mons
You seem to have the iconfaces and main megapack config files swapped around.
Can you upload the config file in your faces folder?
JayJay777
mons
That looks fine. What about the one in your iconfaces folder?
papito37
Alright, so I downloaded it all again like you said (with Torrent) and saved them in a random folder. Then I extracted the first file (11.0 megapack) which has around 200.000 files, but the update packs were'nt extracted automatically like you said. Also, what do you mean by apply them in order? Sorry if its a stupid question, and thanks for your time!

Got it now, thanks for the help!

Ik have got a question,
I downloaded the " Cut Out Facepack Changes " and I see in a Folder named IRONFACES.
What are those and were to put them ?
I noticed that the pictures are much smaller of the players, but I also see that te PNG files have the same name.....
Cheers.

I've moved your thread to here. First of all, it's iConfaces
Secondly, this sister pack displays the tiny preview images you get in some menus within the game. They are effectively a much smaller version of the main cut-out. They have been in place for years now and they are to be installed alongside the main pack.
Hope this helps

Here's my folders. Unlike @henrytg my config.xml files are in the folders.

I get the default blank image for my players and, for some reason, even when i delete the megapack and then redownload it, the same issue occurs. I have faces that are already in the game.
Thank you for your help, hopefully we can get to the bottom of this
mons
How many images in total do you have in your faces folder?
edam22
215,317 in the faces and 213,893 in iconfaces
