Sky Sports are saying Coloccini was at practice this morning. So looks like someone's got the wrong idea somewhere.

On M'Vila:

He preferred a move to Everton, who were also prepared to offer £6.2m rising to £6.6m but it may have been split into two payments - £3.3m in January followed in the summer by £2.9m or £3.3m if they qualified for the Champions League.

Got to love us, god loves a trier.

I think he preferred a move to the €4M p/y pay cheque and the low Russian taxes.

Partly that, and partly his club trying to get the most out of him.

His downfall has been quite incredible for the last year and a half. In 2011 he was dubbed as the next big thing, then he was shite last season, then Rennes refused over £20M this summer, then he got a ridiculous ban from the french federation.

Aye I seen that earlier on, was quite funny. However I wasn't happy when I thought we were actually trying to sign him.

Zaha turned up for his medical wearing a shirt with Imogen Thomas on it. Can't see Ryan Giggs being too impressed about it

Good effort on Zaha's part, applauding his soon to be team mates conquest through choice of T-Shirt.

Great attitude.

With Newcastle making numerous signings in January, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger feels there should be a limit on the number of deals clubs can do in January.

He said: "I think it should be completely cut out or limited to two players because it is unfair for the league that some teams have played, for example, Newcastle already and then some teams have to face Newcastle still with six or eight new players. They do not face exactly the same team.

"I believe the number of players you can buy should be limited."

I'd imagine financial fair play will stop a lot of teams buying six or eight players when it takes effect.

Odemwingie has had his transfer requested denied by WBA BBC Sport

Jumping from West Brom to QPR seems like a bad move for him, It can only be for bigger wages.

I'd move to QPR now. Money, long contract, zero expectations.

What about teams with injured players then, Mr. Wenger? When teams lose key players to injuries mid-season the teams that play them afterwards will be playing against "weaker" teams too, should we disregard those results? Perhaps implement a ban on long-term injuries? Maybe even a full ban on all injuries?

That old fart truly whines about everything, doesn't he? Maybe if he stopped complaining so much he'd actually be able to win something.

Especially at his age, beats doing the same in Russia or the middle east.

What a load of shit from Wenger. I like him, but wasn't he the first manager to field a 11 without an English person in?

To be fair to him he wasn't complaining that we've been buying foreign players. Just players in general.

Given he's said previously Arsenal will have money to spend on players now, and then in this interview he says they haven't made any official bids for players I don't see how he can complain really. It's not like we're pricing everyone else out of the market with ridiculous fees and contracts, I'd say based on reputation we're getting some good value deals this window (I haven't seen any of the players play regularly if at all and they could always turn out to be a flop).

If he wanted to bring someone in I'm sure he could have identified targets and at least made some offers.

Seems like he's deflecting attention to me.

Yes on both accounts.

Considering the incident over there when he left, I doubt he'd ever consider playing there again.

But born, nonetheless, in the modern day capital of Uzbekistan and he plays for Nigeria hence 'Russian'
