Villa should get Big Sam in - he might not be a popular choice with the fans but he'd get them promoted. I've seen Moyes is favourite but he's been a failure in his last few jobs, they'd have probably been better off sticking with Bruce.

I'd pick that cabbage ahead of Moyes

Dean Smith has been appointed, Good choice i think. I was always a fan of his when I used to go to Walsall games. Did well at Brentford too.

Id've loved to see a Terry Henry (thanks Helen Chamberlain) double act, even though I know it'll probably end in tears.
Not that I can see them going up this season anyway, though what do I know about the Championship eh.

Wait Helen Chamberlain is 51!? Damn

10 games unbeaten, distracting from the Oyston Out and NAPM campaign unfortunately.

We beat Leeds at the weekend, good result and we've adapted well back to life in the Championship. There's nothing to fear in this league, we shouldn't write off targeting a top 6 finish even if it might be just beyond us this season. All credit to Tony Mowbray though, done a great job.

Bah, Blackpool, a monument to the wealthy putting their interests first - not just in football but now with fracking.

We lost today away in at our newest rivals, Fleetwood. It's a weird one as there a lot of Blackpool fans who are NAPM who go to watch Fleetwood instead to get their football fix. Don't know who they cheered for! Our in form striker Gnanduillet goes and gets himself sent off in the 94th minute, so hopefully Cullen can come in and stay fit!

Unfortunately so, the board didnt sack way soon enough, damage already done. 16 years of football league seasons all come to an end, what a drop from the championship season

Yeovil going after 16 years is mad enough, especially given how much it went to shit after the Championship and so quickly, but the very real prospect of Notts County dropping out after being Football League ever presents since the 1888-89 original is total lunacy.

Especially when they had finished 5th the previous campaign.

They've a tough trip to Swindon this afternoon and I really can't see them picking up the result required.

Totally. Seems to not just be an L2 thing tbf - in League One, Scunthorpe, Southend and Plymouth all got top half finishes last year, with Scunny even in the play-offs, and all 3 were at the bottom end of the ridiculously tight drop battle, with Plymouth and Scunthorpe going down.

And indeed - they didn't get the result. Sol Campbell does deserve credit for somehow dragging a Macclesfield side looking destined for a swift return to non-league and in big financial trouble over the line, but its still crazy Notts County have fucked up so badly that they've got to that point.

Bolton forced into administration

All down hill for Bolton now, could end up with a 12 point deduction before the season has even started in league one.

Suspect they'll be lucky to survive the summer. A club needs to go under completely to make the FL wake up and unfortunately it looks like Bolton might be that club. There's no point in the sustainability rules if they're not actively enforced and clubs in trouble are actively helped, like Bolton, like Bury, like Coventry. Shaun Harvey coming out with that claptrap he came out with earlier in the week is counterproductive.

Hello again by the way. Feels good to be home, with proper clubs

New manager now needed by Blackpool - their old boss has resigned. Slightly odd timing.

Incidentally, keep an eye on goings-on at Barnsley. They're quietly building a good young squad and have some money behind them. They seem to have gone under the radar a bit with a lot tipping them for the drop. I could be very wrong, but I suspect they'll be a very long way from being relegated this season.

Larry is back, which is a weird one. Did get us promoted from League 1 last time, and used to do well in this league. However, left under a cloud when he wanted to go to Leeds and has hardly been that great at his more recent clubs.

Plus I can't look at him since his hair loss lol.

Well fuck. As if being sponsored by morally-bankrupt bookmakers wasn't bad enough, we're now the permanent butt of their jokes. Is the kit real? Right now, fuck knows. But I want Sean Jarvis's head on a spike for allowing the club to be a joke.

Looked real to me given they wore it yesterday, assuming the EFL/FA don't get involved - I didn't know there was a maximum sponsor size allowance on football shirts but on prominence alone, it looks beyond what's acceptable. Its bad enough that - and I counted this - something like 25 bookies sponsored teams or leagues last season without something so huge standing so proudly.

And yet oddly I didn't think of it as hideous as Stevenage's new Burger King kits.

Doesn't look like it is, but I stand to be corrected. Umbro haven't released it on their twitter or anything, and they've been spamming the hell out of Brentford, so until they say something, I'm assuming spoof. But it has been more than 24 hours now...

As for the Stevenage kit... Bloody hell. That's just a bad kit. Not a poor sponsor, a bad kit.
