It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.
Extracting the file will take a while, but it shouldn't take the hours and hours that the program extracting will sometimes say it will. To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

Oh, I had to torrent the file as it was so big, so could only download the 11.0.
So does that mean I need to download 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 etc? I don't mind, just checking in case only downladoing the last one will do.

If you're downloading the 11.0 base pack, then yes you'll need to download 11.01 - 11.14.
If you're willing to wait a couple of days, we are hoping to have the 12.0 torrent file available by then, so would just need to download the one file instead of multiple ones

I'm club website designer and have access to the original full size photos. I'm also stand in photographer and sometime do the photos myself e.g. player photos in the new third kit.

I've run my entire cut out facepack and my entire metallic logo pack and all my SS' 09-20 kits through the program and agree with the fact that my game has become much more responsive and perhaps a slight quality lift in the graphics it self as well

So I will delete them from my pack, and just wanted to let you know so they can be deleted from the config (they are easy to find.. they are last if you sort by name)

Be careful - there are at least 3 players in the megapack with UIDs in that range which are actually in the game's database. I don't know how that happened, but I remember adding a Brazilian staff member into an update pack some months back and checking the UID in the editor before deleting him, only to find him there. I also remember at least two more, in previous versions of the game, to which the same circumstance applied. I also remember deleting a number of images from my megapack from within that range, which means they aren't included in the config. Naturally, if somebody downloaded them, I can't exactly delete them from their MP folder

Certain there is a clear cache button in preferences you just to scroll, can't look at moment but certain I used it last night!

If the issue is elsewhere, this year, there's been a substantial change to how Mac FM documents are stored. Previously the files would automatically be generated in the Documents folder here:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Documents/Sports Interactive
Now the files will instead appear in the following location:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive
By default this folder is hidden, so to access you need to do as follows:
Open Finder
Click ‘Go’ from the menubar
Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key
This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 2020’

There have been no changes in the way the download itself is structured, so this is something to do either with your PC/laptop's configuration or to how you are attempting to extract the files.
What program are you using to extract the files? And where are you attempting to extract the files to? Can I have a screenshot of the error message?
