It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

I am a premium member and downloaded the complete pack (12.07) - 15gb.
After loading up the game, i noticed that some key players are missing like Hazard, marcelo, Daniel james etc
Have i done something wrong? do i need to download another file to get all in one?
I noticed that the file has only 160k items which may indicate pictures are missing.

Hiya there. Those players are definitely in the megapack and if you have downloaded the full megapack file, then that is all you should have needed.
What program did you use to extract the downloaded file? It looks like it may not have extracted the full amount of images.
Can you check inside the downloaded file how many images are in the faces folder and compare it to the amount in the faces folder within your user data folder (i.e. Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2020 \ graphics. The amount in both cases should be just over 250,000.

As it's such a large file, it's not unheard of for extraction to stop at some point. I'd leave it to extract overnight to ensure everything is extracted without any issues.

Previously, ~40% of the faces were showing up, but that 40% included some players who are now not appearing. Now it's everyone but the french
I have a feeling I may have accidentally deleted the config. file that came with the images, so is there any way I can re-download just that file? Or is there anything else anyone can recommend?
I can post pictures of my directories etc. if it helps
EDIT: To be clear, the correct number of files are in the folders, they just aren't generating ingame for some reason.

For licensing issues, French player faces are not displayed when you go to their profile from the national team page. If you view them from their club page, they would display correctly.
To solve it, you need to download and apply this fix.

It certainly shouldn't take so long and I hope that by now it's extracted. However, the speed of extraction depends on the power of your system and also if you have a lot of applications open, so if the former is not the best and the latter amount is large, it may take a fair while.

I downloaded the Mega pack v.12 and i try to extract it with winrar and it says that it will take 20 hours to finish.
