If you're playing FM Touch, use this file.
This file will need to be re-applied if/when official patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
Some of these changes, ESPECIALLY THE CLUB NAMES, do NOT apply in existing save-games. There's a workaround for that in the first post.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 2021 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed, such as Champions League, Europa League and Premier League displaying instead of EURO Cup, EURO Vase and Premier Division respectively. It will also fix the fact that the German and Japanese National teams don't call up real players and that the Bayern Munich and Borussia Mönchengladbach managers have fake names. These are all fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for Brazilian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian (including Juventus) and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, encompassing most major footballing nations and continents. Brazilian clubs' text colours are also changed through an editor data file. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all the files in this paragraph to work, however, you will need to start a new game.

This should be what your editor data folder looks like now. There may initially be a config.xml file in this folder and it can be safely overwritten; it is generated by FM every time the game starts.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase in your saved game, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, Japanese national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not immediately. Do keep in mind that this file does not add Japan-based players, who are not in the official database and will need a third-party add-on to be created and added.
Club names are only changed if you apply the editor data files before starting a new game. For a workaround if you've already started a new save-game, then please read the opening post of this thread.

You can find these folders by clicking, in the Finder, the Go menu in the menu bar, then choose Go to Folder and type the folder path name (obviously inserting your username), then click Go.
You can get to the Library folder by simply selecting Go from the top bar and holding "alt" key - The Library folder suddenly appears on the drop down
For Mac Lion users, the Library folder will be hidden. Use this link to find out how to show it.
For those struggling to find the Steam and Steam Apps folder etc using Mac with the new OS High Sierra, this link below shows how you can unhide your Library folder which will then let you find the other folders.

Enjoy FM21. Remember the game is a beta, and this file is also a beta. There are restrictions to what I can do until I can get my hands on the editor. As a result, some things are not fully compatible. Rest assured, as soon as I can, I'll have all the other files available for download.
A massive thanks to all those who have contributed over the fast weeks and months. This is obviously an initial version and if anybody spots anything amiss, please let me know. I can't oversee every single competition in the world and I can't fix mistakes unless I know about them π
As an aside, dsfgasss: kudos on behaving like a prize overly-entitled twat π There's always one.

It's out! Get downloading π
At the moment, the current installation paths are sufficient. No idea what the 2110 means, but I don't believe it's being used at the moment. If and when new builds are released, come back to download the latest version of this file π
That's one of the fixes for which I need the editor unfortunately. Nothing that can be done until the day of release on that, I'm afraid.

No problem, thanks for the hard work and the update
freiburgfan
Thanks mons, but I am still to stupid. Should I just put the three folders of your file in all these folders?
I'll look into it and get back to you soon. π

Competitions name are correctly updated, but Juventus name is still "Zebre" even if i started a new game.
i think i don't make any mistake, or at least i hope this!
Btw thank you @mons for the quick and great job as usual!

Delete the existing dbc, edt and lnc folders in the first two folders, i.e. 2100 and 2101. Put the ones from these download in the same location. That's it π
joef21
It's just the Brazilian team names that can't. That's what's happened on mine anyway.

Actually, you're right. Wasn't possible last year. Let me release a new version π

Oh dear, that's a shame. That was a fair few years ago and I'd need to check what staff members were added then, which need to be edited and which to be added.
If anybody with a better knowledge of Dutch football is willing to provide this info and/or create a file to be added when the full game comes out, then I'd willingly add it to this download π
Bulkieri
Without the editor access at the moment, exactly what are we missing, that you usually provide?
Thanks again, superb work.

These files essentially:
Club name changes are (partially) working, and there needs to be a new file this year, adding Ajax non-playing staff, all of which will be missing in the full release due to licensing reasons.
Royjanssen12344
I have a pretty good idea about ajax but never set that up to FM guidelines. Cant you take last years staff and put that in. Pretty much nothing changed except for some changes in staff.

If I download new version I'll have to start new game for the name change, right? Thanks for the work by the way mate.
mons
It's not as easy as that, I'm afraid. One would need to copy them all and then recreate them by inputting them manually. I don't think I have the time to do that tbh, so if anybody's willing to do it, be my guest. If they are created with the FM20 editor, I think they should still work on FM21 once it's released.
