Frequently Asked Questions
If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.
If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.
If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, applying the oldest first and continuing to apply update packs in the chronological order in which they were released.
Contrary to previous versions of the game, there is no need to change any settings in the preferences in FM26.
If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.
These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. It might be for FM24, but the steps are exactly the same.
Otherwise, follow the steps in this comment and post the results so that we can assist you.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too š
It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.
Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

The preferences are in the first post of this thread already. As for the faces folder, I'm not on my PC right now; I just want to see inside your faces folder really.

You have around 10,000 images in your folder. This pack contains over 270,000 more, which is why it doesn't seem to be working for you.
You'll have to download the whole file again, and make sure you extract it fully š

Not really, unless you fancy downloading them from our database manually one by one, which is what would need to be done to get what you're asking.

Must have missed this, sorry. They're not available at present, I'll see if they can be brought back online.
We're working on making it appear on the download page again. In the meantime, I'm attaching it for you to download.

Bit hard to tell without seeing your folder structure and your config file.

I put the picture and put in in the map of all those cut out players. I changed the name of the picture to the unique ID i found in the editor. Wont work.
i changed the name to the random ID i found in editor, after reload skin wont work either.
can someone tell me what im missing? His unique ID is 2000067647, random ID 104360305

Read this, perhaps it may help.
There's a reason why these kind of images aren't added into the megapack, you know š

thx for your help Mons (once again, went out of fm a few years due to kids, but remember you for all your work and efforts, which make my, and a lot of others, game twice as good for real!).
Way to difficult for me... just stick with the player without a picture then :-).
mons
It looks a bit more difficult than it is, though, really.
Essentially it boils down to:
a) save the cut-out in a new folder
b) start a new game and take note of Moukouko's UID
c) rename his UID to be the one in-game
d) create a config file for this folder using fmXML
wanderer89
Sorry if this has been mentioned before but when trying to extract the zip file it's asking for a password?
mons
Try using winrar to extract it. There's no password in the megapack file.
wanderer89
That seems to have sorted it, not sure what was going on with Peazip. Will stick with WinRAR in future. Thanks man.
Womaz
Would that mean I only need to download the one additional pack that has become available since then?
mons
Check the date of the config file and match it to the date of release of the update packs, then download any subsequent pack š
Womaz
As i was note sure about what files I had downloaded I did the whole lot again.
I will now keep on top of the updates.

Bit in bold is enough. Remember, you should have one folder with faces in it and no sub-folders.

Having trouble downloading the complete pack on Mac. Seems to download a bit then stops. When I try to reload, I get a message saying "operation cannot be completed." Any suggestions?
Cheers.

Can you try using Google Chrome in incognito mode? You should have less chance of it being interrupted by a conflicting extension this way, and you should be able to resume downloads should that happen anyway.
Plus the less items being downloaded in the background, the less likelihood there'll be that your download gets interruped.

If you're extracting them to a new folder, it shouldn't say that. However, if you accept the overwrite, just check to see how many images end up in the faces folder. Should be well over 280k š
Giuseppe90
Yes, I extract to a new folder first.
I checked inside the .rar file, and they appear to double already inside the file.
For example in the "iconfaces" folder:
91185039.png and 91185039.PNG
768274.png and 768274.PNG
47070950.png and 47070950.PNG
mons
There'll then be a small amount of duplicates then. FM doesn't read PNG files, only png's, so that'll probably be the reason then.

I'm having some issues with the facepack I never experienced before. Some (not all) faces won't load, I've checked the IDs and the photos are in the folder but the images don't load. I have reloaded the skin multiple times and enabled /disabled the 'cache' setting.
If you have any advice/solution tell me!
Cheers!
Edit: Turns out the all facepack is not loading, not sure why... It was just 30 minutes ago. I've made some changes to the editor data folder and applied FMScout's Real Name Fix in this time
Edit2: Fixed it!! Don't know how probably an Update xD
