It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too š

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

An example is Alejandro Iturbe (ID 2000049485). His photo exists in the graphics folder but does not appear in the game.
Any ideas how to fix?

The chances are that these people were added in 13.01. If your preferences aren't looking as per the screenshot in the main post, then they won't display.

Thanks for your swift reply. I downloaded the full pack again for FM21. Preferences look the same as the screenshot. Most player faces have worked except the 'ID 20000****' players from what I can tell.

Download the 13.01 update pack and replace the config file in your current faces folder with the config file included in the faces folder of the download. Could be you're still using the previous one.

You need to have a faces folder to display the larger faces and the iconfaces folder to see the smaller version of the respective cut-out displayed when you right-click on a player. Both folders should contain 284,000+ images and a config file.
If you don't have the above, then you either didn't download the full pack or you haven't installed it correctly.
Screenshots of your folder structure and contents would help me to see which of the above is the case š

We had this issue a couple of weeks back but it appeared to have been resolved. I'm tagging our site owner and administrator @Footygamer to make him aware of this. In the meantime, give him a little while to check and hopefully it'll all be fine to download by tomorrow at the latest š

Thanks for the quick reply. I only had an icons faces subfolder in my sortitoutsi folder. I downloaded it from the torrent link in the website? Should that have included the faces folder also? I deleted everything, downloaded the torrent file again, currently extracting it, will get bk to you if I have the same issue.

Put the contents of the faces folder in your download into the faces folder containing all the cut-outs. Same for the iconfaces. Click OK when asked if you want to overwrite.

Make sure to read and follow carefully the installation instructions, including the correct location to install them and how to change the preferences for the cut-outs to be displayed.

Try downloading it with Google Chrome in incognito mode. It has a resume download function which may come in useful in cases like this.

I am on a Mac (M1 MBP). All face packs I have tried have worked except the cutout face pack, which is the one I want because it's smaller than the rest.
I have a config file and even used FMXML to create a different config file. Not a single face loads.
Any other ideas?

Cheers Mons, Ill give that a go... I did try downloading the full pack using Chrome on my Mac and kept getting the same problem (albeit this was in 2019). All other downloads have always worked fine and I had the Face pack on my Mac for some 6 years and would just add the updates. Is there any known reasons why the Megapack seems to crash mid download? Just wondering incase your suggestion doesn't work... Cheers for the quick response and help.... always appreciated.

Can I have a screenshot of the location you're installing the cutout megapack in? And also one of the properties of that folder, showing the total amount of files in the pack.
Are you sure you're downloading the full pack? It's 17GB+ and it's the biggest facepack for FM as far as I'm aware; could it be you're not downloading the full pack?

As it's such a large file, there's simply more of a possibility of the download connection being temporarily interrupted. That's why I recommend it's downloaded with as little background applications running, to avoid potential interruptions caused by other files being downloaded by the user.
