Frequently Asked Questions
If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.
If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.
If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, applying the oldest first and continuing to apply update packs in the chronological order in which they were released.
Contrary to previous versions of the game, there is no need to change any settings in the preferences in FM26.
If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.
These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. It might be for FM24, but the steps are exactly the same.
Otherwise, follow the steps in this comment and post the results so that we can assist you.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too š
It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.
Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

Thanks but I've mentioned above that i've tried doing this with 2 different computers. And one of them is a very high end pc.
Oh and yes i did try restarting and waiting for an hour for it to speed up but no luck. After an hour it was at %1.
mons
If there are other processes running on the system, then it may throttle the extraction speed, irrespective of how good a PC it is. Extracting files is apparently very resource-intensive. Ideally, you only have the file extracting to gain the quickest speed.
I've extracted the pack on multiple PCs over many years, including earlier today on another user's PC via TeamViewer, and I can vouch that it does take a while for the extraction process to get going and it may give you mind-blowingly large extraction time estimates from 8-10 hours. After a while, though, it then seems to pick up a fair bit of speed.
If you can't find the time to leave your PC alone to extract the files, perhaps it might be worth letting it extract overnight, making sure there aren't any power settings which send the system to sleep if inactive after a period of time.

I understand.. My last hope is letting it extract overnight.. BTW it asks me to overwrite some files while extracting. What should i do about it?

after latest 21.2 upgrade, this face is disappeared
Why? Image file and code are ok....and before upgrade I saw perfectly the face...
Thanks and Happy New Year to all.

Some of the new faces seem to have random I’d references, just open your config and amend the I’d to match the face
mons
From the config it's also clear that you've downloaded some cut-outs individually. Nothing wrong with that, but it may cause issues if you don't know exactly what you're doing. I would recommend that if you download cuts individually, you place them in a separate folder with a seperate config to avoid potential conflicts.
Download the 13.0 megapack and the subsequent update packs and you should be fine š
Are your preferences as indicated in the main post, and do you have any other facepacks installed?
What exactly do you mean? What you're saying doesn't make a lot of sense, I'm afraid, and it only serves to muddy the waters.

Moms, I was articulating the fact that the game sometimes changes some Player ID’s, I have had it a few times when an update lands, or starting a new game.
mons
In my 11 years doing this pack and as an assistant researcher for my country's data in the game, I can count the instances this happened on one hand and I'm definitely sure it isn't related to the issue at hand.
Bielsa is a legend
Just trying to offer a potential solution, I have seen it several times in last 2 versions of game
As an example, the new 16yo wonder kid at Dortmund has a different ID every game I start
But no worries, must be another issue
mons
Players in the official database have a fixed Unique ID, which is how megapacks like this one work - by the unchangeable link between the player and his UID. Moukoko, on the other hand, is not in the official database. You only have him in your game because you downloaded an editor data file which included him.
Players like this added in custom editor data files do not have a fixed UID, because it changes from one person's career to another depending on the combination of editor data files they have in place. This is the reason why Moukoko and other players not in the default database are not included in this megapack. The same concept applies to clubs and competitions etc added via custom editor data files, which do not and cannot have a fixed UID.
The player mentioned in the earlier post is part of the official database, which is why this issue does not have anything to do with what happened to the user.

I believe it does, but it depends where you place these files.

Thanks - in pictures folder in faces folder?
mons
I'm not entirely sure. It should probably go in the graphics folder within your user data folder, wherever that may be.
Morris64
Thanks, I've resolved. Today there was a Steam upgrade that have deleted the line --user_data_location="_path_" from preferences of the game (I had moved game folders in another disk since the installation).
The face was not loaded simply because it wasn't present in the default path.
mons
All's well that ends well.
Just so you know, there's an easier method in FM this year than this, wherein you can change the user data folder from within the preferences in the game itself, using this method.
This avoids having to make changes in Steam and therefore also is not affected by Steam updates š

I don't think it's available any more, I'm afraid.
Side Splitting Pass
It's on this page.
Bear in mind that all the cut-outs will be at least 4 years old.
Edit: Should have mentioned that it's a downloadable zip file not a torrent link.

You'll need to download a skin which has that function.

I am playing a game and new generic youngsters are appearing in new seasons. Now let's say, John Doe is my new youngster, and I have a cut-out face I want to attach to him. How do I do that?
mons
Use the steps outlined in this thread.

That mod was a fair few years ago. Now there are a number of skins who fulfill that purpose š
EnigMattic1
Is it still floating about though? I'm working on a skin of my own at the moment.
mons
It's at least 3 if not more years old. I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to find it and it almost certainly wouldn't work at this stage. You'd be better advised to get the stuff you need from a panel in an FM21 skin with such a visualisation...

I'm not totally sure what you mean? If you want the players to look about the ages they are in FM2017 download the 9.0 megapack, you won't need to download anything earlier than that. You could then download and add (in order) all the individual updates from 9.01 to 9.12 if you want to.
