It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

can i just not download a single pic from sortitoutsi like the mark chamberlain one and add it to fm21 graphics folder or do i have to do the same thing with that pic aswell .

The way these faces work, they are both forward and backward compatible. If you download the update packs for the 13 series, they will work for FM20, and any older games too 👍

It's could be you, your settings or your network provider. There are no issues with the downloads, apart from the latest Windows 10 updates sometimes not responding unless you open in new tab.

It may be the case that the extensions on the internet browser or the anti-virus you're using on your laptop is somehow interrupting the mirrors from displaying. Try using incognito mode or the equivalent for your browser, maybe that helps.
You're not installing it correctly, because should not have update packs in separate folders. You should put the files from the faces folder of the downloaded update pack directly into the faces folder of the megapack (i.e. no sub-folders), same for the iconfaces. If you're doing it right, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files, to which you should agree.
At the end of the process, you should have 294,000+ images and a config file inside each of the faces and the iconfaces folder, and no sub-folders within either of them.

but What about the config files ? The new updated faces config file is not the same as the original one with all the faces, if I overwrite it then config file also is gone no?

Yeah, and that's the whole point. The config file included in each update pack does not only contain the code for the images in that update pack, but for all the megapack.

I'm afraid not. There isn't a way to break it down other than to do so manually, and at just under 300,000 images, I'm sure you can understand that will take much more time than is humanly possible for our small team.

As an aside, there are just under 300,000 images in the megapack. If you want to pick and choose, it'll take you so long to do so, you might as well download the cuts that you want from here and use the methods outlined in this thread to generate a config file just for them. Otherwise, if you go to the trouble of downloading the whole megapack, you might as well use all the cut-outs in it.

ive read through some of the earlier comments but as soon as I add any of the face pic folders my loading times go from about a minute to over an hour, does anyone have any suggestions?

I haven't shown all the files but you can see it's location etc.
As for your loading question, it sits on the 'loading screen' where a team is celebrating after all the war child adverts and copyright pages etc.

That is not how it should be installed. You should have one folder which includes all the images from all the update packs within it with no sub-folders.

Megapack has been download, content unzipped and placed in a "faces" folder under "graphics" in FM2021 (see screenshot attached) - I then followed the in-game steps in the Preferences menu (unchecked "use catching..." and checked "reload skin when..."😉 but yet the cutout faces do not appear - just the orignal faces the game comes with. Played around for a bit, but couldn't make it work.
Can anyone provide some assistance with this?

You don't seem to have the full megapack, which includes over 294,000 images. Besides, there doesn't seem to be a config file in your folder, which is the crucial file which tells the game which image to assign to which person.
The location is fine, so I suggest redownloading the file again, which should be 18.59GB in size.

I'm not entirely sure what the question is, but you can use fmXML to generate a new config based on the images in your megapack folder. It's a very simple tool and it creates a config file in 3 seconds; watch this video to see how to use it :thumbup:
