Site issues - reporting thread

I also have problem when I press download button. And nothing happen.

Cheers for the report, this happens randomly when I update the site and has been happening for months. I can't for the life of me figure out why it's happening so I have to just try and remember to double check and recache the sites configuration (it's something to do with the cache of the sites config, but all I know is rebuilding the cache fixes it, not why it's happening).

I realise that means nothing to most people, I just wanted to try and explain that it's an issue i'm aware of but simply have no idea why it's happening so it will keep happening and please just report it asap.

Another minor, but possibly related, issue I'm having since yesterday is about notifications.

Yesterday afternoon, a post was made in the cut-out megapack technical support thread. Since I'm subscribed, I ordinarily receive a notification but in this instance I didn't.

Then, yesterday night, I received a notification that the real name fix thread was posted in, but clicking on the link thrown up on the notification page takes me to a page saying that my connection is not private. Accessing the same post from the jump to first unread button on the active posts thread takes me to the intended target, however.

Edit: As an aside, both the URL the notification takes me to and the sender of the notification email are sortitoutsi_2020, rather than the usual sortitoutsi

Hi @Footygamer FYI the issue with downloads is back, namely click on the download link and page just refreshes

Seems like notifications aren't working either @Footygamer , nor is the PM dashboard.

Pressing download on data update, nothing happens, just refreshes the page 😢

Hi. I cannot download any package (complete or update) from https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/1/download .

I am a premium member.

I reported the downloads not working yesterday so we are aware  no need for users  to keep reporting or starting new threads on this matter

just went to send a PM and saw a couple of replies there for me, and no notification with those either so a few issues ongoing 

Should all be fixed now and notifications will start dripping through over the next few minutes.

I'm still trying to get to the bottom of why this is happening occasionally, i'm sorry to say I currently have no idea. I tried something yesterday to try and fix it and it seemed to make it even worse!

I've just made some changes which may help we'll have to wait and see if it happens again

Notifications should be fixed now.

Approximately 4000 “events” (PMs, notifications, password resets, account activations etc) will be sent in the next minute that were trapped in a broken queue.

Apologies to anyone who gets a sudden influx of emails, I did attempt to try and distinguish between important ones that needed to be resent and less important but it was too difficult, so they've all been sent simultaneously.

Can you be more specific about what error message you're receiving or steps you're taking?

I won't get to look into it until tomorrow.

I keep trying to change the email address on my account but it's not working. It's says "The email must not be @icloud.com, @me.com or @mac.com"

Would I be right in assuming it isn't on either of those domains?

@shadowrun unfortunately we've had issues delivering emails to icloud.com, me.com and mac.com and Apple don't offer any paths to getting our domain unblocked.

Although to be fair, this was 2 or 3 years ago now and we've just had the policy in place since then. I'll look into whether it's still necessary.

@shadowrun i've just checked and apple have stopped blocking our emails so you should be able to use your icloud email address now 🙂
