Installation Instructions
1. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using Steam on Windows?
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. Although it is for an older version of FM, the steps are still the same. You need to use Winrar (or a similar program) to extract the downloaded file.
This is what the MP folder should look like for the respective version of FM you're using:
Anything beyond the blue line is up to you and how you want to structure your folders.
The preferences should look like in the below screenshot:
To get them to look like this, navigate to your preferences on the welcome screen or by using the drop-down menu near the top right of the menu within your save game.
Choose the advanced tab (the blue square within the screenshot above) and select all from the drop-down menu on the right (the red square within the screenshot above).
Scroll down to the interface section near the middle of the list, where you are to make sure that:
• the “Use caching to decrease page loading times” box is unticked
• the “Reload skin when confirming changes in Preferences” box is ticked
After clicking confirm, it may take a few seconds or minutes for all the graphics to be loaded and you should now see all the graphics you have downloaded appear in your save game.
Once your skin is reloaded, you can re-tick the "Use Caching to Decrease Page Loading Time" button so that the splash screen at the start takes a lot less longer to load. However, the above process needs to be undertaken every time you add graphics to your game to ensure that the game "reads" them.
2. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using a Mac OS?
From FM20 onwards, there's been a substantial change to how Mac FM documents are stored. Previously the files would automatically go in the Documents folder here:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202x
Now the files will instead appear in the following location:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202x
By default this folder is hidden, so to access you need to do as follows:
Open Finder
Click ‘Go’ from the menubar
Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key
This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 202x -> graphics’ (create the last folder if necessary
Anything beyond this path line is up to you and how you want to structure your folders.

3. I don’t want to have the megapack in the default user data folder – can I place it elsewhere and how would I do so?
You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.
The above step does not apply if you’re playing on Gamepass, in which case the user data location has to be the default one (i.e. Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 202x)
It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
4. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using Gamepass?
If you're using Gamepass, then you have to use the default user data folder - point 4 above does not and can not apply to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.
If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.
If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, starting with the oldest.

Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.
Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.
These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
The likelihood is that you've put the iconfaces in the faces folder, or used the wrong config file for each folder. As a result, the smaller images (in 25x18) are being upscaled to be displayed in the person's profile, hence the blurring. Re-install the update pack again, making sure you put the contents of each folder in the right place.
Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
To get them to show, you should individually download the cut-out faces that you want from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

I have used this face pack for years and I have a new computer and downloaded it the same way as before, however certain faces don't show
e.g. Pep Guardiola isn't showing as shown in the picture but others work such as Jose Mourinho
Any suggestions on how to sort this?
Thanks
mons
@dunc98, either you haven't installed the megapack correctly, or you don't have the full megapack, or you need to change the preferences to the way they look like in the screenshot of the main post.
Can we have a screenshot of your megapack folder to see which of these might be the case?
dunc98
Hi sorry I hadn't seen this before today!
I have attached a few screenshots of the folder
If there is anything else I can send to help let me know
thank you
mons
@dunc98, have you changed your user data folder? I notice it isn't in the default Documents folder, and it will need to be changed for the game to read any custom graphics. There's a guide in the first post on how to do that.
Also, have you changed your preferences? The way the should look like is also in the first post 😉
dunc98
I moved it into my D drive due to lack of storage is this an issue for it then? I have normally had it in documents and its worked perfectly
mons
It's not a problem but unless you tell the game you've changed the user data folder, it won't know where to look for them.
There's a guide on how to do so in the first post of the thread. Follow it accordingly and see if that works for you 👍

hello .. how can to install new updates ?? where extract #face folder or #iconface folder
mons
The megapack contains 2 folders, one titled faces and the other titled iconfaces.
Each update pack also contains 2 folders, one titled faces and the other titled iconfaces.
The contents of each of the folders from the update packs are to go into the respective megapack folders. If done properly, you should be prompted to overwrite some existing files, and you should accept.

Hi I have installed logos kits and facepacks on the hidden library/si/fm21/graphics folder.
In game I clear cache and reload and also restart the game.
Everything apart from facepacks load. The kits, logos load but all the players have a blank face.
I have even donated 10 pound for the facepacks and it's not working
Any fix for this would be appreciated 🙏
mons
You've made a right mess of installing it, I'm afraid. Now I don't have a Mac so I'll have to see if I can understand where you've gone wrong, but don't worry, we'll get there 🙂
In terms of screenshots, it's better if you take them in landscape rather than in portrait, and ideally you also find a way to show me clearly the path being displayed. In a Windows screenshot, the path (e.g. Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2021) is clearly visible in the breadcrumbs at the top and it's not always the case in Mac, so I can't tell which is the location being displayed, which is a bit of hindrance in trying to understand where the issue is 🙂
So, in the first screenshot, remove the iconfaces folder, it's got no business being there. In screenshot 2, remove the rar files from there and put them elsewhere outside the user data folder.
How many images do you have in your faces and iconfaces folders respectively? You should have upwards of 300,000 in each and there shouldn't be any sub-folders in either place - just one folder including all the images therein.

Hello i do have the same issues, and there is a fole call config.xml but it still wont work the picture still blank what should i do
mons
Can I have a screenshot of the faces folder, showing clearly (a) the amount of images in the folder and (b) the path?
Jaka zack
There you go, is that too much pic in one folder?
mons
That's fine - though we have released 7 update packs to add and improve many cuts till the release of 13.0, which is what you have.
Have you changed the preferences as per the screenshot in the main post? Can I have a screenshot of that too?
Also, which pictures are blank that you think should have a cut-out? Don't just say all, give me a couple of examples 👍
Jaka zack
There you go, I've already move the faces folder to graphics , and delete the iconfaces,
mons
Do pay attention to what I'm telling you, though 😉
I never mentioned needing to move the faces or delete the iconfaces - both seemed to be installed in the right place.
Also, I've asked you to see if you've changed your in-game preferences to look like this:
and to tell me which player(s) you think should have a cut-out but don't.
You've provided me with neither 😕 I can't help you if I don't know these…
Jaka zack
Sorry mate, i just read your reply up there about the iconfaces
And my interface look exactly the same as yours
All the real player faces gone,
Well i want every player have a cut faces, especially well known player in europe and south america
mons
Each issue will have a solution, so each case should be taken on its own merit. Feedback I gave previously will have been related to their situation. If you go to your doctor with a cough, you don't get your leg amputated if that was the verdict delivered to the previous patient, do you? 😉
The reason I ask for screenshots is that I can eliminate possibilities of what can be causing the megapack not to be working correctly.
Do you have a file titled config.xml in your faces folder?
Jaka zack
Mate you know what i just delete the file call “config.xml” in my previous screenshot you'll see in sport interactive folder that I've been sent you
And after that, i try to reload the skin
And it works !!!!
Thanks so much for the feedback
And sorry for my mistake earlier
mons
All's well that ends well 👍

I downloaded the full pack yesterday, thank you so much for your work.
Now with 7zip it tells me that i need 52 hours to extract the files, extracting with 105kb/s
Can anyone please advise me on how to extract it quickly? I have a I7-2600 3.4 ghz with 8Gb Ram
mons
Sometimes with such a big file the computer gets the calculation of extraction time wrong and it speeds up after a while. Be prepared for it to take a fair while. It may take around an hour or slightly less with all conditions being ideal.
If you can't find the time to leave your PC unused to extract the files, perhaps it might be worth letting it extract overnight, making sure there aren't any power settings which send the system to sleep if inactive after a period of time.

Hello.
I wanted to get the cut out facepack. However, when I have downloaded the different parts. My winrar program says the file cannot decompressed the file. I would pay the 10 pounds to get the cut out facepack. But would I receive the same problem in the bigger rar file? I am on mac. I have attached a screenshot of the error message.
Thank you in advance.
mons
I have no idea what happened there, and it's the first time we've had that kind of issue reported. Can you try re-downloading it in case there was an issue with the download being somehow corrupted? Or try using The Unarchiver to see if that works? Also remember that you need to download all the spilt files; the way it works is that you extract the first part and the program automatically continues to extract all the others.
When you become a premium member, you should be able to download the megapack in one file. You can also download the 13.0 base pack as a torrent, then download update packs 13.01 to 13.07 to be up-to-date.
mons
@Nichlas Foged, I tried merging your thread with this one, but it doesn't seem to have worked. I managed to get a copy of your post.
If you use the split files method, then yes you will indeed need to download all 19 parts because that's the way that download works, by splitting the large download into multiple files. At 970MB, the file you have is unlikely to include 270,000 images anyway 😕
To avoid the difficulties, which come with such a download method, we have a torrent file available for download which includes the base 13.0 megapack; there's a link on how to find it on the first page of this thread, which is really where you should have come in the first place 😉
If you want to be fully up-to-date, you have to download all the update packs released to date, from 13.01 to 13.08 - but you should have enough to be going with when using the 13.0 file.
Nichlas Foged
I have tried that torrent download before but it just started downloading in some program called SafeWatch and then it stopped downloading after 10%. So thats why i started to try Dfiles.
But downloading that Torrent thing is really confusing me. I am really not a tech nerd, but i havent had any problems with Logos, Kits and Real Name Fix. But this facepack, jesus its a hurricane.
mons
The difference is that the cut-out megapack is much large in file size than either of those packs so it'll be correspondingly harder to host. We couldn't find anywhere to host it for free for this reason.
If you scroll down the first post of this very thread, there is a short guide of what you need to do and what program you need to download to get the torrent downloading. You don't have to be a tech nerd, it's really rather simple. You download the torrent client (a tiny file) and then you download the torrent file from our site. That's it.

hi, I am sorry if this has been asked before but is there a regen pack so I don't have to use the graphic ones? any help much appreciated, the df11 face pack has one but i don't really like the shape of those with the skin i use.
