It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying in the last paragraph, so I'll explain a bit better.
Prior to the game being released, we release a base megapack for that version, available via torrent, e.g. 13.0 was released in November 2020. Each base pack contains the base megapack for the previous year (e.g. 12.0 for FM20) plus all the update pack released since then. After each base pack is released, we also release frequent update packs adding new or improved images every 3 or 4 weeks.
I'm assuming that the file you've downloaded is the 13.0 megapack - so if that's the case, for you to be fully up-to-date with all the images in the megapack, you would need to download 13.01, 13.02 etc all the way up to the most recent pack 13.14.
Look at it as each update pack being a building block on top of the previous update pack 🙂

I downloaded using the torrent file, believed this included all of the update files within that one download command?
Update on extraction: just went back to check and it's on 78% with 90 mins running and 30 mins left, so yes very inaccurate estimation by WinRar 🤣

Nope, that's why I recommended you download the 14 subsequent update packs. The torrent only includes what was available when it was released in November 2020; the update packs have to be downloaded separately.

Ah there's my misunderstanding, I thought the torrent was updated alongside each update file, so it started off as just the based and then the torrent file grew, while the static download files remained individual. No probs, will maybe get in and do that later. See above editted post for Extraction update, 78% done after 90 mins so getting there, WinRar estimated badly haha. Thanks for all your help

Hi I wanna download the 3.0 version (individually) but can't, I guess the file doesn't exist. I get some XML error.
If you're asking why, it's because I'm using the 2005-2006 database for FM20 and I wanna have old faces.
Please assist. I purchased a premium subscription to do just that.

We're in 2021, it'll be a bit hard to find files which are 10 years old at this point.
You can use the current cut-out megapack with no problems in FM11, though you will have a hell of a lot of cuts for people who don't exist in the database yet, but it'll still work.

I suspect you've installed the update pack in a separate folder. All the images need to be in just one folder with no sub-folders, overwriting when prompted.

Sorry about this question, it has probably been answered before but I cannot find the answer.
I've downloaded the megapack, added it to FM21 folder > graphics > players, reloaded the skin… but nothing comes out. Actually, something does, but it's only a couple of faces (Ronaldo among them).
I've tried clearing the cache for good measure, no difference.
I don't know where I went wrong. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Both faces displayed are from the 13.01 update pack, and I suspect you've got just that one installed, with 6,754 images, instead of the full megapack, which by now consists of 330k+

You should have one folder, and one folder only, containing all the faces. Same goes for the iconfaces. If an update pack is installed correctly, you should be prompted to overwrite images and the config file.

Did you verify the game files at any point perchance? French player faces don't appear when viewed via the national team if the real name fix is not in place, so reinstall and reapply it just in case - should do the trick 👍
