Site issues - reporting thread

I don't know if this is the place to request, I couldn't find where to do that, but can you update the picture of Messi in the Cut Out Player Faces page?

@Footygamer I found some issues with the item counter in the cut-out browsing system:

Very often the item count is not accurate of how many there actually are. For example here it shows this team has 0 people, but when you click on it, you see they have 6. I'm guessing there needs to be at least 1 cut for the counter to start working?

And the second issue, the counter also doesn't seem to update when someone gets transferred via the data update. 

I transferred this guy into his new team. Beforehand the counter was at 70/72, but now it's at 71/72. So somehow it registers that there's an extra image, but not that the total count should be updated to 73?

I've had alot of reports of the counts not working but I honestly can't figure out, i've spent literal hours/days on it and it still keeps being wrong.

It's on my todo list to look at it again but it's the sort of thing I need to sink hours into debugging so I keep focusing on things that are a bit quicker.

It will get looked at, at some point.

The submission search does not find anything, but as you can see in his profile/timeline there is a megapack image.
It's the only case where it didn't work properly for me. I know it's not a big issue, but I decided to report it.

P.S. I searched few more IDs and the issue appears to be bigger than I first thought.

When I search for ID “2590” it finds three different players, but none of them has ID 2590.
 
Edit: I saw that there is both a player and a club with same ID in both cases. I didn't know that it's possible. The search returned the club cut outs, that's why there are three players when you search “2590”. May be the only thing that can be done is to have both person's and club's images as a result from the search.

Getting this error when trying to import retro kits. The “type” field is set to “team_home_kit” by default but doesn't work with that entered either,

Whenever you try to jump to the first unread post in the Retro Kits thread, it always goes to this comment by Footygamer rather than more recent posts.

@Footygamer A lot of retro kit images are now broken (e.g. https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/alternatives/game-item/4814 among many others) - not sure what's happened there as it was fine earlier.

Inspect element shows the image paths as “<img src(unknown)”

I moved a cutout to the correct person's timeline, but it's still showing on the original timeline, just without the thumbnail and player's name above 

@weeniehutjr fixed that.

I've been making some changes behind the scenes regarding deleted comments appearing in timelines and accidentally introduced that bug. Should be all fine now though.

Is anyone else seeing the number 1 in a yellow box next to Downloads but then when they hover over the Downloads text and click on the yellow “1 files need updating” button there's actually nothing there to be downloaded? It's as if the Downloads button on the top nav bar isn't clearing somehow.

You can click on this to get it cleared away for the time being

I've done that several times before and it never worked. Looks to have cleared the ‘1’ away this time though!

Sorry I thought this was fixed. I'm looking into it again.

@Footygamer I've come across a very specific problem. When you edit a comment the images in that comment disappears (also inside spoilers).

Although I temporarily introduced another bug for around 3 minutes just now, hopefully not many people were affected.

Unfortunately the bug still happens when clicking on “Jump to First Unread” from the Active Posts page. It works correctly when clicking "First Unread" from the “Forum Topic” dropdown menu in the thread.

Ah you're right. They are different URLs. The retro kits is a unique topic that works differently to everything else on the site unfortunately it will be quite a big refactor, or I keep adding quick fixes but not catching every instance.

I'll try and get it working as expected.

@Footygamer Every time I try to visit the profile of Dylan Murnane from Newcastle United Jets, it gives me an error. Have tried since this morning now, all other players work fine.

@Footygamer Hello, I am not sure wether this is the right place to do this but when I try and purchase premium, it gives me an error message even though I know I have sufficient funds to purchase. I have attached an image of the error. Is there a way to pay via bank transfer?

That's a PayPal error and not something we can help with directly.

I think you need to add a bank account or a credit card to your PayPal account to get around it. I.e. have a backup source if your balance is 0
