In which case fair enough.
At the minute (and call me cynical or biased or whatever) Liverpool and Suarez have both been to me about doing just enough to deflect attention and not actually discipline a player properly.
If they do ban him internally that's a strong message, and good on the club.
Carroll.
What he did was wrong, but people coming out criticizing him for saying his fine is going to the charity are fucking stupid
JCash3000
I wonder if he even knew what "Hillsborough" is before he was told to donate his fine to it today...

You really are an idiot aren't you

It quite clearly is

Oh but you more than make up for it, suggesting a Liverpool player probably has no idea about Hillsborough is just flat out stupid.

Especially when there's pictures of him at the service on Monday Ffs.
JCash3000
I dont give a f.ck anyway for what happens at Liverpool, theyre not our level
Deano
You're blind as a fucking bat.
Shut up then.

He is using Hillsborough as a way to get the fans to back him. The idiots will as well but ultimately you do not get to decide where your money goes. It is likely a donation that is being dressed up as a fine

EDIT: That quote was taken out of context on the Sky Sports article.

"done that at all" refers to him biting the player, not making the donation

well shouldn't he? he got 7 matches last time and he's done it again, how would giving him a smaller ban help?

They're all cunts.
Carroll.
Oh really? Please tell me how everyone is saying Suarez is a decent human being for donating to charity.
No. It's not deflected the attention at all. People are still going to talk about the bite, in a few years people wont even remember he got fined for it.

I never said it was a good PR move, just that it was one.

Christ, you're especially slow today. No-one thought/ claimed that donating the money to Hillsborough would make people forget about the incident (that goes without saying but, obviously, not in your case) but it's so obviously a PR move. If it was all completely innocent, Suarez could have asked in private for the money to go to the Hillsborough charity, rather than coming out alongside the club and seeking to score brownie points with the club's fans and deflect some criticism by speaking about an issue so close to the club's heart.
It's all so fucking obvious I really don't know why I'm typing it out. Stop arguing for the sake of it.
