Installation Instructions
1. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using Steam on Windows?
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. Although it is for an older version of FM, the steps are still the same. You need to use Winrar (or a similar program) to extract the downloaded file.
This is what the MP folder should look like for the respective version of FM you're using:
Anything beyond the blue line is up to you and how you want to structure your folders.
The preferences should look like in the below screenshot:
To get them to look like this, navigate to your preferences on the welcome screen or by using the drop-down menu near the top right of the menu within your save game.
Choose the advanced tab (the blue square within the screenshot above) and select all from the drop-down menu on the right (the red square within the screenshot above).
Scroll down to the interface section near the middle of the list, where you are to make sure that:
• the “Use caching to decrease page loading times” box is unticked
• the “Reload skin when confirming changes in Preferences” box is ticked
After clicking confirm, it may take a few seconds or minutes for all the graphics to be loaded and you should now see all the graphics you have downloaded appear in your save game.
Once your skin is reloaded, you can re-tick the "Use Caching to Decrease Page Loading Time" button so that the splash screen at the start takes a lot less longer to load. However, the above process needs to be undertaken every time you add graphics to your game to ensure that the game "reads" them.
2. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using a Mac OS?
From FM20 onwards, there's been a substantial change to how Mac FM documents are stored. Previously the files would automatically go in the Documents folder here:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202x
Now the files will instead appear in the following location:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202x
By default this folder is hidden, so to access you need to do as follows:
Open Finder
Click ‘Go’ from the menubar
Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key
This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 202x -> graphics’ (create the last folder if necessary
Anything beyond this path line is up to you and how you want to structure your folders.
The preferences should look like in the below screenshot:
To get them to look like this, navigate to your preferences on the welcome screen or by using the drop-down menu near the top right of the menu within your save game.

3. I don’t want to have the megapack in the default user data folder – can I place it elsewhere and how would I do so?
You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.
The above step does not apply if you’re playing on Gamepass, in which case the user data location has to be the default one (i.e. Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 202x)
It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
4. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using Gamepass?
If you're using Gamepass, then you have to use the default user data folder - point 4 above does not and can not apply to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.
If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.
If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, starting with the oldest.

Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.
Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.
These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
The likelihood is that you've put the iconfaces in the faces folder, or used the wrong config file for each folder. As a result, the smaller images (in 25x18) are being upscaled to be displayed in the person's profile, hence the blurring. Re-install the update pack again, making sure you put the contents of each folder in the right place.
Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
To get them to show, you should individually download the cut-out faces that you want from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

Hi,
I paid for Premium however when I've downloaded the complete face pack nothing has showed up in the files, do I have to download the individual files aswell?
mons
I've moved your post to here, which is the correct place for it.
Can I see (a) the full path of the faces folder and (b) the amount of images contained therein?
Also, how large is the config file?
Going by your file download history, you only need the 2023.00 complete pack. Remove anything else.
Bailey Ramrekha
I've tried to screenshot from my Mac however thats from my WinZip
mons
I really need to see the full path itself and the amount of images contained within it. I can't tell what the issue is from that screenshot alone, but it appears that you didn't extract the full megapack if 332MB is all that's being extracted. That's not even one-sixtieth of the whole megapack.
Use the Unarchiver or another similar software to extract the file you downloaded. Btw, how large is the file you've donwloaded?
Bailey Ramrekha
The file was 9GB
I've posted two more screenshots from the WinZap
mons
Those screenshots still don't address my questions. I specifically asked for screenshots of (a) the full path of the faces folder and (b) the amount of images contained therein.
By full path I mean for example Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2023. I ask this to be sure you've installed it in the right place. Based on what you've given me, I can't tell yet if this is the case.
I also need to know the amount of images to see if I can tell which file version you've downloaded and whether it's extracted correctly and in full. It looks like it hasn't (with it being just 1.4GB instead of the 18GB+ that the complete pack should take up), but again I can't tell.
Can I also see a screenshot of the file you've downloaded? The full 2023.00 pack should be 9.52GB not 9GB, so it might not have fully downloaded.
Please, if you want me to help you quickly, give me the screenshots I ask for, otherwise I'll have to work on assumptions rather than facts and it'll take us longer to get there, if we do at all 👍
Bailey Ramrekha
I believe the file hasnt been downloaded in WinZip yet, it won't give me the chance to copy the files over to my graphics folder
I've attached the two screenshots
mons
You've given me a screenshot of the page you downloaded the file from, which I am perfectly capable of finding myself. I want to see the actual file as downloaded onto your hard drive. If it's not been downloaded, how can you expect to have it in-game? You're confusing me now.
The path is the correct one, but graphics should not have the first letter capitalised (i.e. Graphics) but should have all letters in lower-case (i.e. graphics). FM is sometimes funny like that.
Bailey Ramrekha
No worries, ill get it changed over,
From what I said last time, I don't think the file has downloaded yet as you can see from the screen shot its shot up to 2.8GB. Once the full file has gone through I think I should be able too unzip the file into my graphics folder.
mons
I have no idea what the issue is now. Once it's been downloaded and fully extracted, follow the installation instruction and you should be fine.

I've got images with the correct ID number in my faces and iconfaces folders but in game only the iconface shows when you right click the player but the face itself don't show on their profile/ tactics screen, can't see why this is happening, can anybody help please?
mons
It's not entirely clear what you mean.
Can I see screenshots of (a) the full path of the faces folder and (b) the amount of images contained therein?
Can I also see a screenshot of the page(s) in-game that you're referring to?
Marvel_Man
Hope this helps
mons
All looks fine in those screenshots.
A couple of things spring to mind:
a) Have you changed your preferences as per the main post?
b) Do you have a file titled config.xml in your faces folder?
Also, is the issue happening with all the players, or is there a particular category for which it's working and others for which it isn't?
Marvel_Man
I haven't changed anything that I'm aware of and yes I have the config file.
This is happening with a several players in the Arsenal youth team (the team I'm managing so my reason for noticing). The vast majority of players are fine. I've even changed from the default skin thinking that would help but regardless of what skin I'm using its the same.
mons
Can you look at the installation instructions at the top of this thread, and change the preferences to look like that?
Marvel_Man
I hadn't copied the newest Config file when installing the latest update. The missing images are there now. Thank you for your help.

Im running this download on my macbook. I've tried “The unarchiver” and “Unzip-RAR ZIP &Z Unarchiver” both of which were downloaded on the appstore. I completely followed the instructions on going to library, application support, sports interactive, fm2023, made a file name “graphics”. I went to FM23 preferences, interface, and unticked the “use caching…” and “show screen IDs…" and ticked “reload skin…”. However, nothing changes once i hit reload skin. Im quiet keen on using the cut out player faces instead of resorting to other websites like DF11 etc, so i hope this problem can be solved.
Im not sure what i may have done wrong along the way.
Any suggestions on unarchiving apps or any help is much appreciated!

Can I see screenshots of (a) the full path of the faces folder and (b) the amount of images contained therein?
Question 1 has got nothing to do with anything, and you should ignore anything not mentioned in this thread. Question 2 is a purely cosmetic link. Once you've extracted the full downloaded file, there's no reason to keep it around, assuming you've extracted it in full/

Hi, I've followed the guide on this side and multiple others on how to download the facepack on mac for the new FM23, but for some reason it wont work. I've got the logo pack to work without any trouble, but for some reason this one isn't.
I've attached some screenshots to help make the visible part more clear, please someone help me as soon as possible! Thanks!
mons
Can I see screenshots of your faces folder? How many images do you have in there, and do you have a file titled config.xml?
Petur Anker Poulsen
the second image is the number of the last face in the file.
mons
Again, I ask you: How many images do you have in there, and do you have a file titled config.xml?
I ask these questions for a specific reason. If you don't answer them, I can't really help you much…
Petur Anker Poulsen
I can't find any file titled config, xml, and I'm not sure how many but the file says 170.536.
mons
Then you have either not downloaded the full megapack, nor extracted it properly.
The complete 2023.01 megapack contains over 380,000 faces. The config file is what tells the game to assign an image to a particular player, without it the whole pack is pointless.
Petur Anker Poulsen
I've downloaded the file multiple times and it's the same every time. And that's the folder i get when i export it in the unzip app. No config or anything, and the file is the newest one from your website, so not sure how I'm doing it wrong?…
mons
How large is the file you're downloading before being extracted? And what app are you using to extract it?

Hello there, for FM23 I have installed the pack onto Windows, unzipping via WinRAR. I have put the folder of faces into a graphics folder created. I have also changed the preferences accordingly and the faces have applied. However, when i click on players such as Haaland, Neymar, Ross Stewart etc., no faces appear (works for all other types of players as far as I've noticed. I have attached proof below, could you recommend what I need to do to fix this issue?
Thank you.
NOTE:
the folder sortitoutsi_megapack_2023.00.part02. should include all parts 2-11.
I also downloaded it via the entire megapack link then via each of the 11 parts
mons
You have 2 folders in there. What's in each of them?
When an empty space appears, it means there's a config file in a folder without the respective image(s).
Can you please attach screenshots directly to your posts instead of a Word document? Much easier that way 👍
Joshua14069856934856938
Hi, I am for some reason unable to have my screenshots saved as Png's and can only be pasted so I have put the screenshots into pdf files. Hope this is good enough.
I have attached screenshots of the properties of individual folders which show the number of bytes in the folders and how many files in the folder. ( Document, Document (2) & Document (3) )
I also attached the screenshot of a group of the photos in the folders, hope this helps identify which files/photos I'm missing. ( Document (4) & Document (5) )
Thank you
