It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

Hi I'm downloading the cutout mega packs, I've downloaded part 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and part 10,11. I skipped to part 10 and 11 because when i downloading part 1-7 there wasn't the config file with and any off the parts. I thought it would be in part 10 or 11 but it wasn't. Does anyone know why this is or am I doing something wrong?.

You should download all the parts. Frankly, I'd recommend using the torrent file to get the base megapack and avoid faffing about with individual parts.

hi, ive downloaded all parts now and the faces folder in part 11 is empty. Ive notiched a few players like man utds brandon williams eriksen and john stone of man city are missing plus a few more. I've looked in all parts and cant find them anywhere. Where can i get the faces from part 11? I've tried downloading the part again but its the same.

If you download all the parts, all you need to do is to extract the first file and WinRar will take care of extract all the other parts automatically. I have no idea which file contains which player, sorry.
Can I have a screenshot of the location where you downloaded all the compressed files? Showing the sizes of the respective files.

I have downloaded all parts 1-11 and the two changes parts and extracted them to the graphics folder. They have worked but I noticed a few players with missing pictures like i mentioned Man Utd Brandon Williams, Bruno Fernandes and others at other clubs. I noticed when I downloaded part 11 it had two folders, icon faces and faces the faces folder was empty so I'm thinking maybe thats the problem. I tried downloading part 11 again but the same thing, do you know if the folder faces in part 11 is meant to have players faces in it?.

The split files are generated automatically, so I don't have control over the contents of the respective file. Tagging @Footygamer in case there's anything he can do.

Hello, I only read back a few pages to see if anyone had the same issue so sorry if this is a duplicate.
I am playing the game on PC gamepass, I have the full face cut-out face pack downloaded with 386k+ faces (image 1).
They are installed to the file path (C:\Users\username\OneDrive\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2023\graphics\faces) which I think is the default path referenced under the gamepass section.
It seems that nobody in my save has a photo now, (except for Luciano Spaletti??) (image 2).
I reloaded the skin and turned off the caching.
Any ideas/help would be appreciated, thank you!

It might be the case that you have installed an update pack elsewhere; if that is the case, then you need to remove it.. An empty space instead of a cut means that there is a line within a config file somewhere within your user data folder pointing to an image which is not in that same folder.
If you post a screenshot in this manner (and please be sure to read what I'm asking carefully) searching for 43093171 (Zielinski's UID), I'm sure I can locate where the issue is 👍

I just got it to work, turns out the file location I was using was incorrect, should have been using (C:\XboxGames\Football Manager 2023) instead of (C:\Users\username\OneDrive\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2023\graphics\faces) and the reason faces seemed to be taken away is I did not have the full pack installed in the XboxGames location, something stopped it midway.

I'm trying do download the mega pack, download starts, I get the first 100-200Mb and then it just stops. Tried Edge and Chrome in regular in incognito modes - no luck. I have a Gigabit fiber optics connection so that's not an issue here. Any tips?

It does not technically stop, it goes to 0.0 Mb/s. When I then pause and resume it, it stays at 0/0 Mb/s.

I don't use Edge, but I'm aware that Chrome has a specific resume button, which has often helped in situations such as this.

The above screenshot is from Chrome Incognito mode. As you can see download slows down to 0 B/s and stays like that. I can still pause it and then resume it but it doesn't change anything, it stays at 0 B/s after pausing and resuming. Anyone can help with this?

Hey, yes issue is still there but now I think it’s something at my end. It’s a new PC I’ve just build and I’m thinking motherboards LAN drivers acting up. Will have to try wi-fi when I get back home tonight.

After downloading the latest facepack update and downloading the latest update from SI, I cannot see the faces from France National team. However, when I go to PSG's page I can see the face for example Mbappe's correctly. Is there any solution for that? Thanks in advance!

That's a licensing issue and you need to download and apply the real name fix again, which you should do with every official update.
@Zeefan9876, it seems to be related to something you're not doing right, because nobody else seems to have reported the issue. Where have you placed the megapack folders?

Thanks for replying. It in the same place as where it was before when it worked, Sports Interactive/Football manager 2023/graphics/faces. I find if I start the game and then move the facepacks into my graphics folder once its fully loaded and reload the skin in preferences then the facepacks work fine. Its just when they're added to the graphics folder before I start up the game that it causes it to freeze.

How long have you left the game to load up the splash screen? It might take a little while, maybe a few minutes more than usual if you don't have a top setup. It shouldn't take hours, naturally, just give it some time.
