It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

I'm really not sure how it can be that you added images from update packs and this reduced the total amount of files 😕
If that is the case, my suggestion would be to start the whole process from scratch tbh…

Hey @mons , thanks for your answer. I find it strange too. The faces folder dropped to 1,13 GB and the iconfaces to around 100 MB ☹️
I guess I have to download the MegaPack again 😅

I dont know if anyone will be able to help but thought id try after weeks of troubleshooting myself.
I have downloaded the Sortitout Facepack to my Mac, extracted it using the Unarchiver and added it to the correct graphics folder (Had DF11 in their most of this FM but decided i would like just the cut out heads instead)
I have followed all the steps but now when i add the facepack to graphics and reload the skin it just gets stuck on ‘Changing Skin’, i have genuinely left it over 6 hours at times and nothing happens. I would then Force Quit FM and Stream, try and reload it but then the game gets stuck on the Loading screen.
Ive had no issues with Logo Packs, Stadium Packs or even the DF11 Pack.
If i have to go back to DF11 its not the end of the world, but would really like the Cut out version.
Any help would honestly be amazing

I have downloaded Cut Out Player Faces Megapack from 1-11 individually ,but once they have all downloaded they all look like a internet explorer web browser ?
Surely this is not correct but if it is what do i do next with them so confusing ?

I have win-zip on my pc but managed a way round it to get it to work. I thought nowadays most explorers come with either winrar or win zip ? I’m using Microsoft edge if this helps please feel free to help me further.

As the piecewise method was giving this error, I downloaded the full 10GB, extract to Documents/Sports Interactive/Football manager/Graphics and when I go to load the game, the game closes after a while.

For testing, I downloaded DF11 and it worked perfectly, but I prefer cut out.

This screenshot shows that you tried extracting part 2. The torrent is a single file without parts, so it seems you downloaded the split files and not the torrent file.

Hi. This isn't working properly in my fm17 game, EVERY pics/icons appeared to be glitched/corrupted. I know all the stuff about graphics folder etc.. I didn't encounter any single error while installing. What is wrong and what should I do?
edit: I found the problem, it's the newer pack not compatible with old fms. It has been mentioned in the FAQ, but it's so misleading.
Not “some images” but ALL OF THEM doesn't work, so it should have been a MUST DO thing instead of “suggested”.
You guys should either edit the FAQ or put a big warning button for old fms in the download page. Imo im not the only one so far downloaded an incompatible pack.

I'm no novice when it comes to stuff like this, but for some reason my M1 Max MBP is having real difficulty with installing the FM23 faces images. I've done this previously with FM21 and 22, but it seems as though there are just far too many files involved now and my system is struggling. When I decided to extract them all straight into a “Faces” folder in my FM23 folder instead, this worked but I left the game over an hour to re-apply the skin and it just sat there with the updating message. Next, I quit the game and then allowed it to reopen, again I gave up after an hour.
I've never had these issues before…is there something I'm missing and has anyone else had similar problems? There are a LOT of image files, but then there always were. I'm on a beta of MacOS Sonoma, but I can't see this being the reason, surely? It's been a very stable beta indeed.

Hello, i’ve got a little issue with a picture for a created player. I created Bonsu Baah and did everything to get him a real picture. But ingame I get a picture of a random guy (which I think is random generated). How can I replace the random picture with the picture in my facepack? (I already put the correct ID in the config file and made sure it’s a .png 250x250). Thanks in advance!

Could I have larger versions of those images? They're much too small to be able to see anything. It's best if you take a screenshot instead of a photo of your monitor.
Make sure that the in-game UID of the player is the same as the filename and the one in the config file.
