FM24 Data Update is now live

The Data Update is now live and you can begin submitting changes.

It will currently only work with Classic Mode not Real World Mode.

There is now a “Transfer Fee” field where you can add the transfer fee used which is intended to be used when ew support real world mode in the future.

I have a fear that this transfer fee field is going to cause lots of arguments and constant resubmissions to make minor adjustments to the fee. Please try and be considerate fo all moderators and do not do this. It is only a visual thing in game anyway.

@Footygamer What's going to happen when SI release their big Winter Update? Will there be a reset of what's being done, since the database will then presumably be based on the newer base? I didn't really experience much of this side of things last year, as I joined later into the game cycle. Also, might be worth, as a rule of thumb, the direction being: For any large Transfer Fee above £1M, round to the nearest multiple of 100K; For Transfer Fees between £250K and £999K, round to the nearest multiple of 10K; For Transfer Fees between £100K and £249K, round them to the nearest multiple of 5K; For Transfer Fees between £0 and £99K, round to the nearest multiple of 500. Would cause less arguments, and less minor changes.

@CTxCB we always reset after SI release their update.

I assume people will be rounding to nearest 100k anyway haha the issue is one website reporting £40m and another £50m, or reporting with and without add ons, or confusing EUR and GBP.

Excellent. I always like to go back and cross reference and see if any were missed by SI.

@footygamer, I submitted a few Scottish Managerial changes, but as only working with classic mode didn't put real world contract end dates in, just released them. If you need me to go back and add dates I can but not sure how that works if in game they get a contract extension between the game start date and them having left. Thanks

@Joe5p the rule is to always put in real world data and the system will try and work things out based on contract start date.

However releases are a bit different and the system can't track dates for that at the moment, so just leave it blank for now.

So probably a silly question, but could the FM24 update work with FM23? I have the FM24 game already, but I was wanting to test out compatibility with an old, quite extensive database of my own. 

I noticed this morning that despite some submissions being approved, they aren’t necessarily ‘active’ and haven’t been reflected on some individuals profiles.

The change to Swansea City has been approved but appears to have not been reflected.

Also why did you set it to “unconfirmed” was that to try and highlight that it wasn't working? “Unconfirmed” should be used for things like Mbappe to Real Madrid that people might submit prematurely.

Any reason why there hasn't been another daily update since the 20th? I imagine it's because of Christmas?

Hello, on what basis does this update work? Traditional or real world? because I play on the real world and I'm wondering whether the changes introduced, e.g. transfers of players, will be carried out like in the real world or whether we will get these players straight away.

@rafpietrzyk it won't work with real world unfortunately SI released the feature without properly supporting it in the pre game editor

Moderators just haven't had the time to go through them, it is Christmas after all.
