It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

Bit of a weird one I guess, but should the latest megapack work on Ubuntu 22 + FM 2015 ? Some difference I should know about?
Logo's work just fine, but for faces I get this (in multiple skins)
The game did crash on reloading the skin, after unpacking the faces. Logo's were loaded prior to this reload. For the rest the game runs fine though.
Just got back into an old save with a custom db and I really need proper graphics to enjoy the game 😀

I was checking the config file for the megapack and noticed that there was desktop image to person 0. so i was wondering more about the config file and noticed that there was more files but less lines of data in the config…
Top config is a fresh config created minus the usual lines of data to start and end - the bottom config was the original with the latest update but it is 297 images shy of the actual number of images in folder.
sortitoutsi\faces - contains 451,500 files
sortitoutsi\icons- contains 451,459 files
20000035949 - this file needs deleting from main folder.

If someone has downloaded an update pack which includes a wrongly-assigned image, then nothing I can do will remove it from his system. That's why I just delete the line from the config. There's really no need to do anything else about it at this stage, frankly you'd be spending loads of time on something I can do nothing about…

I went through the pack and located many files that are sitting there useless, also noticed a few files that was not included in the config but are in FM24 at least.
the files to delete txt is for anyone to use as reference or can use the .bat version to place into both faces/icons folder once you run it the files on the txt doc will renamed/delete.

i've an issue with the megapack, i 've about 312000 cutout faces and my HDD has not enough free space to contain all of them so i had to copy inside the fm24 folder just a part of the cut outs.
The matter is that i can't see the faces ingame even if i'm sure to have made all in the right way.
I was wondering if i have to make a new config file for the faces i've copied only.
At the moment i'm using the one included in the last magapack downloaded.

If you're using the config file from the most recent update pack on a partial database, it should nonetheless display the images in the folder. The only drawback would be that you would have a blank face for those 138,000 people whose images aren't in the folder.
If none are displaying, then you haven't installed the ones you have into the correct place. Can I screenshots of your megapack folder, showing clearly the full path it’s located in?

Is it normal to be prompted to ‘confirm file replace’ when extracting the megapack 2024.00?
I downloaded via torrent and I did select to replace the files, the total faces from ‘Megapack 2024.00’ is 435,704. Just wanted to be sure I chose the right option before adding the 3 update packs where I know I'll have to replace copies of course. *edit, I have no previous packs installed etc, thought may be relevent.

Each update pack will not only contain new images, but also updates to the existing cuts. With that in mind, it's completely “normal” to get an overwrite prompt whenever installing an update pack 🙂

@mons the main default pack before the updates contains duplicates upto 20 possibly not sure
Some files in the pack are the same filename but the file extension is in caps for a couple of duplicates. Feel free to overwrite them

Yeah, the update packs will, that's nothing unexpected.
I was meaning when I unzip the initial 2024.00 megapack, I get the prompt to overwrite files too. Just best to be sure I'm selecting the right option so the base pack isn't faulty to begin updating as that'll only increase errors i imagine. 🙂

I'll return once all is unpacked and updated to double check. Only the last 2 times I've done these this week, I keep getting less ‘iconfaces’ than ‘faces’ and I'm confused where the error is occouring.

Yeah, we know about that, seems like something went wrong in automatic creation of the iconfaces for the most recent update pack, which led to a couple hundred less iconfaces. We'll look to resolve it in the next update pack, but a couple hundred missing iconfaces out of 450,000 people isn't such a big deal 😉

a) You're showing me what's in your graphics \ pictures folder. Is there anything else in your graphics folder?
b) There's a folder named faces, and another named players. What's in the latter one?
c) Are you getting an empty space where the player image should be in-game, or are you getting the black default silhouette?

Just to follow up. All seems well. Working as expected and as said, just a few hundred off between the 2 folder counts.
