It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

i dont have this problem, but in the game nothing works! No logos, no faces and its the exact same folder like in fm22, 23 and 24!
i also deleted the iconfaces…

Funny is, the name fix works…
but its located in a different folder: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 26\shared\data\database\db\2600

@Martin Lachmann and @tucco06 Please just delete (or don't extract) the icons folder if you are playing the beta version of FM26.
We are right now trying to balance the fact that we want to offer graphics that work both for FM24 and earlier, and FM26.
So please bear with us it will all be sorted in due time, and especially when the full FM26 is released we will have a better sense of what and how to change things permanently.

I have only 501690 cut out after downloading the new version 2026 for fm26. In the desciption of this file it should be 501697 files in the folder. What is wrong? My 501690 or the desciption at the beginning of this thread? Downloaded the file more than one times to ontrol it.

Hi, I've tried downloading the MegaFacepack from this site, but I can't seem to get it to load up into the game, despite following the instructions. Is there any reason this could be happening? I've never had this problem before in older versions of the game. Some help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

hello i just moved the entire graphics folder to FM26 folder in My Documents and i overwrite the Cut-Out Facepack but i get this and it's stuck without proceeding

I am trying to install the cutout megapack and when trying to extract the folder I keep getting the following message, anyone know how to solve this? I've never had an issue before with any packs

I have the facepack installed, it was fine, nearly all players and staff had faces.
SI did some sort of update, they added the new “use pre-generated pictures of players (and staff) rather than dynamically-generated images” and now pretty much every staff member has lost their picture and quite a few players that I know for 100% certain had faces before (two examples are Merih Demiral and Raheem Sterling) now have the black default face instead, I have toggled the setting on and off, I have checked the facepack folder and confirmed they are both in their by searching their ID's… anyone got any ideas on whats happened here? The two players above are just examples from my team that I know are well known enough for others to perhaps check on their own games, but I'd say half my team are now missing their faces and they absolutely all had faces before..

There is a year and a half's worth of images to be added, and the most recent update pack hasn't even got started. We'll be populating the cut-out megapack slowly and surely in the coming weeks.

I have downloaded the latest megapack but Gilberto Mora & Saba Kharebashvilli dont have faces and they have two of the highest PA’s on the game, is everyone having this issue?

I am a apple Mac user and I have just downloaded the full players Face pack and extracted them into the graphics folder but when I try to load FM none of the players faces are showing and also I am missing a load of players ?? Do you know what could cause this ?

The other thing I don't understand. My download is 12.7GB, but the folder unzipped is 5GB? I've done it twice now.

The Face Pack doesn't seem to be working at all for me, I've used the file path as instructed C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 26\graphics yet nothing seems to come through into the game when starting a new game in FM26, any ideas?
