Frequently Asked Questions

If you've never downloaded the pack before, you should just download the larger "complete pack".

If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.

If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.

If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, applying the oldest first and continuing to apply update packs in the chronological order in which they were released.
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. You need to use Winrar (or a similar program) to extract the downloaded file.

Contrary to previous versions of the game, there is no need to change any settings in the preferences in FM26.
You need to copy and overwrite the faces and the new config file from the update pack into the faces folder.

If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.

These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.

Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. It might be for FM24, but the steps are exactly the same.
It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

Otherwise, follow the steps in this comment and post the results so that we can assist you.
In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.

As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍
You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.

Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.
Extracting the file will take a while, but it shouldn't take the hours and hours that the program extracting will sometimes say it will. To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
The most recent update pack will include the most recent config file, so you can choose to download it and use it from there.

Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.

To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

Read this. Best to delete all you've got and download the complete pack from scratch again.

Hi everyone,

I need some help in something I can't find. As I'm trying to give the Ajax staff real faces, the directors also need a face. But I can't check their ID's because I can't click them. How do I know the staff ID's which I can't ‘visit’ in game?

Hi all,

I have only recently got fm26 so still trying to get an understanding how adds on work.

\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 26\graphics\pictures\players

I continue to use the cut out megapack named in the above folder path “zmegapack”. But have always used another folder in this file path for personal photos for my team called “apersonal” with it's own config. (reason is because I prefer my own cut out for around 30 players instead of those available in the megapack).

Normally in previous fm's due to the naming of the files the “apersonal” will act as a over ride to any of the same id's found in the “zmegapack” but in FM26 I am finding that in the game it is taking the photo from the “zmegapack” as primary used image in game even if a different image for the same player ID is in “apersonal” folder.

I have checked the configs in both and that are using the “face_” text description followed by the ID. It seems that it starts to use the images in game from “apersonal” for players that do not have an image in the “zmegapack” but then if the same ID is in both it takes the megapack and then from that point in the config it fails to update any further players including missing player images I have in my “apersonal” file but not in the “zmegapack”.

The whole thing is confusing. The images shared are of the config for the “apersonal” face pack which is in theory should over ride IDs found in the megapack

Any ideas how to get multiple configs to work for facepacks?

@IAmTheStag This version of FM has issues with reading more than 1 entry for the same UID. This is in fact why we had to change the filename structure to include face_ in front of the images in the cut-out pack, because there are clubs who have the same UIDs as people, and for whom the logos therefore weren't displaying.

Based on your explanation, it seems that FM checks all the folders and loads the last image it finds. I suspect that if you change the folder names to zpersonal and amegapack, you may well achieve the results you want 🙂

Thanks for the advice @mons really appreciated as I get to grips with this new modding!

Changing it around seems to have worked for the over rides to prefer personal images over megapack however created players via pre game data editor with images I have added to the apersonal folder with the correct UID's based on game generated are not showing. For these should I not use face_ with them being my created players?

I have a similar issue when trying to use the sortitoutsi Facepack for New Wonderkids as non of the images are showing in game for the players created in the extra database even though the UIDs match in game. Image attached

Finally after hours of trail and error I have got the sortitoutsi megapack, sortitoutsi's new players pack, my personal images to over ride the mega pack and then my pack for personal created database people that aren't in game to all work!

For some strange reason having my own created database people in the same megapack as the personal images to over ride the megapack wouldn't work until I split them out into two folders which separate configs. I think it was definatly to do with overlapping UID's from the sortitout new players pack for players not in the game and my own personal created players not in the game UID's. Then it was just a case of trying to order them correct for configs to take priority but the image attached was the final workable order to get things working!

Now onto trying to install the 3d stadium add on!

Hi everyone, I installed the Faces pack and everything was fine until the latest FM update. Now the faces no longer appear; I tried reinstalling the game and the pack, but it didn't work. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Can I have screenshots of your megapack folder, showing clearly the full path it’s located in as well as how many images are in that folder?

When it comes to the faces in-game, do you see black spaces or the default black faces?

I really can't see any reason why it shouldn't work. The only thing I can think of is that is that OneDrive might not have synced the files yet.

Thanks for the support, I thought about that too but it seems strange since it worked until the FM update. Do you happen to know how to stop OneDrive syncing the Sport Interactive folder?

I'm still playing FM24 because, unfortunately, FM26 is a flop and crap, but that's not what this is about.
These are my latest files: 2025.10     29 Sep 2025
Can I download the latest versions? Are they compatible with FM24?

I installed updates 02 and 03 and the faces disappeared. I tried adding the config files from 01, 02 and 03, and with 01 they work, but with the others they don't. Can you help?
