So my boss came into work this morning and said he's had enough, can't trust anyone, and thinks everyone is taking the piss out of him and he's shutting the factory down. He's always on weed and arguing with his wife nonstop for weeks to the point where they don't talk anymore and doesn't go home. He said he's going to fill out his remaining obligations with a few contracts he has but told me and the other lad to go home but kept his daughter and daughters friend still there. I'll be expecting redundancy pay, but could that be unfair dismissal? no notice or anything? He's a fat petulant child.

I think terriesmad guy actually has legal experience, but either way, look at your contract Deano, if there's something about notices you might have a case. If your boss owns the business and then is closing it down, surely he would need to do that properly before sacking everyone.
