The Platypus
And at the same time he's confirmed that Chelsea are in for Willian.
Dutton
Add to that Lampard, Mikel, Essien, Ramires, van Ginkel and Chalobah fighting for 2 places.
Someone's gotta go.
The Platypus
Don't know how that works with the homegrown thing, though.
Ninja
Whatever happened to Romeu as well? He started off decently.

Seems amazing that Chelsea are going into the season with so many AM's, but no top, proven striker.

What the fuck has changed from last season, where we finished twelve points ahead of you?
We've lost no one of note, you still might lose Suarez and the likes of Aspas, Toure and Alberto are average players that aren't going to take you to the next level.
King Luis
You've spent all of the off season crying about how poor your squad is and if you get any injuries you have no first team players to step in, now your saying your squad is fine. Make up your fucking mind
Dutton
Aspas is certainly better than average too, from what I've seen anyway.
Telegram Sam
No, you mong, I've been complaining how our squad isn't good enough to compete for the title not that it's not good enough to deal with a feeble challenge from Liverpool. We need more players to close the gap between ourselves and the top three, as well as making sure Spurs don't overtake us. We were twelve points better than you last season and this window has changed that deficit.

Toure is a good defender but in my eyes a pretty much like-for-like for Carragher who also had a good season last year. Aspas is a decent striker as well but is he really going to have much of a chance to play/ have much of an influence when Suarez is back? I doubt it.
I could be wrong about Alberto but it's not exactly a star name. If Liverpool had landed one of Willian or Mkhitaryan then I'd be somewhat concerned, but I don't see what has changed this summer that can close a twelve-point gap.

I'm devastated you think that.

Star names = success.
Arsenal have signed nobody yet Liverpool have gotten rid of a lot of deadwood and brought some young exciting players in, whilst players like Coutinho have settled in more and youngsters like Sterling will have more experience. It's also one more season where Rodgers can let his players get used to his system. There's still time for you to buy but right now I don't think they are as far away as you seem to think.

I didn't mean that signing star names is the only way to success, but I believe that if they want to bridge a twelve-point gap you need to do more than the likes of Iago Aspas and Kolo Toure. They're good Premier League players but are they really an improvement on what they've got? I don't think so. Rodgers has got them playing good football, and I can see them improving on last year's points total with Coutinho and Sturridge playing their first full seasons. However, lets not forget that we have players who look like they'll improve on their performances last seasons - guys like Ramsey, Wilshere, Giroud and Gibbs - and we look like we will bring in a handful of players who will make us better before the window shuts.
Liverpool have a good side but I don't see much to convince me that they'll make up a twelve point gap and overtake ourselves and Spurs to get Champions League football, unless both sides have some sort of monumental collapse. It's also worth remembering Liverpool haven't finished outside the top five for one season - it's been what, four or five now?

He almost certainly will though.

Petty, but funny.

Only if we sign replacements.

I think it's extremely naive to assume that the most expensive deal in the history of football hinges on whether or not you sign Erik Lamela or not. If talks are as advanced as claimed then Spurs won't pull the plug this late on.
