Going to make for some interesting times ahead.

He's so defeatist. If he stopped focussing on how much better everything will be next season, this season may have not been so bad!

Downplaying expectations again.

No value in the market etc.

I'm guessing Fergie could get away with it because he always managed to sign players who did do well despite his comments.
Moyes hasn't proved shit, and he's already trying to lower expectations.

Yeah, and then he'd buy Robin Van Persie.
King Luis
He also had years where he bought utter garbage though, deals like the RVP one don't come around every year
Jamieandhisego
The worst transfer window he ever had he bought Cristiano Ronaldo in. It's not a crime to sign the likes of Djemba-Djemba and Bellion, especially if you sell them on for similar fees.
Shola
Moyes signed Mata literally 3 months ago...
King Luis
Fairly sure you had a worse year than that, didn't you have a year you only signed one year when you signed Carrick?
Ninja
yeah and won the league or finished a massive 1 point off the top every year since until Moyes.
King Luis
Teams around you weren't taking massive steps forward then though like Chelsea and City are nowadays.
Ninja
City spent about half a billion in that time and Chelsea can't have been far off.

We signed him in the 06 summer I think.
So Chelsea had been rich for a few years and City got taken over 2 years later.
Jamieandhisego
It was well-documented that Fergie and Gill were heavily involved, and we spent £40+million on the guy. He was an extreme case of an incredible player being made inexplicably available in a transfer window, and we're very lucky to have him. Besides, he didn't join us to play under Moyes.
That year when we signed one of our best players of the last 6-7 years and won the league title?

The excuses are coming out already. He needs to go, so much fucking negativity.
Flash.

That he falls behind Michael Carrick (62.8%) and Tom Cleverley (51.8%) is surprising in itself. That he trails the likes of Juan Mata (52.5%), Eden Hazard (53.6%) and Philippe Coutinho (52.3%) suggests there is something wrong.
Pushing it further, you can argue that he isn’t even a danger in the air anymore - so often his forte at Everton. He has won 48 of 90 aerial duels (53.3%) at United which is above the average (47.2%) for players with 10 or more appearances under their belt but way short of the 90.5% he achieved last season.
