Up here, he's not so much seen like that. I honestly think he's a poor manager. By no means the worst, but quite poor. He'd get find out in England with an inability to make good tactical decisions (much like Super Ally!).

As for the transfer side of things he's had no real authority. Just by looking at the team sheets you can tell the players he wanted to bring in. It's been Peter Lawell and John Park spearheading most of the deals. Just take the strikers we brought in during the summer they were that bad we needed another one in January. If we got the one Lennon wanted (Alfred Finnbogason) during the summer things might have gone a bit better in Europe.

The new manager will be expected to win at least one domestic cup and do well in Europe, as well as winning the league at a canter - people scoff at the Celtic job but there is tons of pressure that comes with it. You're expected to win every match and every summer you'll have to try and replace a couple of stars players who've left with a small amount of money. It's tough. Lennon did a great job at Celtic, especially in 2011/12 where we went on a huge winning running to overtake Rangers before they went bust, and I think he will do a good job in England no matter where he ends up.
I'd take Moyes, Mackay or Lambert if any of them would be available. Larsson isn't ready yet.

Uh oh.
Prepare for such media delights as 'try to make yourselves hard to beat against Hamilton Academical'

In all seriousness though, I think it'd be a good move for him. He did well on a limited budget with Everton and the pressure at Celtic, whilst still significant, is nothing like it is at Manchester United. He could probably do with a couple of seasons away from English football to get back into the swing of things.

Yeah it probably is. Chance to win a trophy or few as easily as they come and rebuild his reputation. If he gets the Tottenham job it could probably end him.

Apparently Spurs are ignoring all the unemployed managers. Thank God. I just hope that doesn't mean we get Pochettino.

Pochettino/Saints just announced he was staying today.
Its got to be De Boer surely.

I'd be okay with that.

Would Villa fans though?
Ian Culverhouse was dismissed as assistant manager not long ago for being a bullying influence, I can't imagine Roy Keane being an improvement on that.
But Lambert can go, He won't be missed.

He's an absolute nutter who's spells at Sunderland and Ipswich ended in acrimony. I'd much prefer a forward-thinking and progressive manager like Deila as opposed to an ex-player. Keane hasn't done anything good in management for years. I'd never heard of Deila before this week but I am pleased that the club have gone for a more leftfield appointment who seems to be a better fit for the club than an obvious choice who probably wouldn't take us onto the next level.
