I don't see how anything outside of football has effected his game, bar the the ban for racism.

I love Suarez as a player for his talents but beyond that it severely detracts from his game as it causes issues with his game.

Actually I do. I believe I have mentioned on here how much I rate him if you take out the cheating from his game

He isn't the only one that has cheated, or cheats, so why do you constantly criticize him? I know he one of those players everyone loves to hate, but you're like a broken record. I wish I had the choice to ignore certain members on this, so I wouldn't have to listen to you moaning about him all the time.

Luis Suarez is the biggest high-profile cheat in football today, though. Steven M'Bia is much worse, but he's too shit to deserve the reputation.

Nah he cheats but mainly United fans also decide to turn the smallest of things into a big matter.

He does far less than Bale does.

Most players dive at the minute - people get on Suarez' back for it because he's an easy target.

Hmm cant say something like that as a Liverpool fan though cause id just get jumped on and accused of blindly defending him, its odd because everyone points out the occasions he goes down easily or dives but then on the other hand the best part of his game is his dribbling and always managing to keep hold of the ball despite challenges coming in, he could go down a hell of a lot more than he does.

He'll stay on his feet when it's an advantage for him to do so, and go down when it isn't.

The majority of players in the league are the same.

Yeah but his advantage is alot less of an advantage to other players if that makes sense? like he can make something of a situation that most other players would just go down in, doesn't get much credit for it really though.

Suarez is probably more popular at the minute among neutrals than Van Persie.

I think people are definitely too quick to jump on Suarez, okay he doesn't help himself at times, but if you look at the goal he scored against sunderland he could easily have gone down when Cuellar(?) tried taking him out, but he stayed on his feet, scored, and didn't really get much credit for staying on his feet.

As he shouldn't. Why forget the bad just because he did good for once?

Well everyone seemed to say if he'd told the ref to disallow his handball goal then he'd have got huge plaudits and credit, why should the staying on his feet situation be any different?

Because Van Persie's better and people hate United more than Liverpool.

Nobody should get applauded for "not cheating".

Admitting to cheating at the time is different, however.

I don't know about Coates, he's a bit dodgy in the back. Seems to get turned far too easy I think.

Because one is natural and the other requires honesty.

Awful argument.

Not really, Van Persie can be a cunt at times. But he's been in this country for about 10 years and I'd be amazed if his rap sheet of offences is even half the length of Suarez's. If people genuinely hate RVP more, then there's more to it than on field antics.

Of course, the fact you've a)completely made up the fact that more neutrals hate him than Suarez and b) aren't actually a neutral because two of the three (that I can remember) reasonably high profile cases of Van Persie being a knob came against your lot, can't really be ignored either.

Yep, I definitely called it a fact. I don't even know about the second offence against Newcastle. (And Suarez cheated to get Coloccini sent off, earlier in the season)

But it's easily possible to be a good player and play for an unpopular team and not be disliked by most football fans.
