That was a very well done episode. To make it so watchable and have it all take place in the one room was impressive. I just find it odd that despite Malcolm being one of the most repulsive people in the history of the screen, I still want him to get away with it. His tentacles are all over every allegation in the inquiry, yet all I want is for him to still be the daddy. Can't wait for next week.

The Thick Of It was so, so good tonight. It looks like Malcolm has finally be found out but through the entire history of the show, whenever he's had his back against the wall he's fought his way out of the situation and regained control. With this being the final series, however, the writers might have found it appropriate for Malcolm to finally fall from the grace to end it all. Really not sure how it's going to end, but I have a feeling there'll be some redemption for Nicola at some point.

I may have mentioned this previously, but it's worth repeating: watch John Adams. As far as television goes, it does not get any better. It's only six or seven episodes long, but it is fucking glorious and fascinating to watch. Get it done.

Have just acquired Seasons 1 & 2 of Rome, which looks terrific. But before that, I'm going to watch State of Play, the six part miniseries that was turned into an average film starrin Russell Crowe. I've hard very good things and the first episode was excellent.

I do love a good British drama.

I'm halfway through the second season of Breaking Bad and am absolutely loving it. I don't think I've been more engrossed in a series since LOST. The attention to detail in the writing is absolutely sublime and the character development is probably the best I've ever seen on television. I'm constantly wanting to watch it but don't want to get through it all too quickly either.

Also, I downloaded the first season of The Newsroom earlier. Heard good things about it.

The Newsroom was alright. I enjoyed watching it at the time but overall it wasn't anything particularly amazing.

Enjoyed the dialogue and the performances though, even if most of the characters are just assholes.

Oh and enjoy Breaking Bad, it only gets better

Last two episodes are class, but there were some things I didn't enjoy, and in the end the season didn't match the previous ones imo.

I don't think the shortened half season deal helped, especially with the pacing.

Yeah, why have they decided to split the last season into two parts? Have they done this before?

I'll probably have watched the entire series up until the middle of season five in the space of 5-6 weeks but will then have to wait months to see the final few episodes.

Good luck, second season is dreary as hell.

First season was probably my favourite series of all time though, stick with it it seriously cranks up the tension towards the end.
