Crouch, for his height, is a terrible aerial threat in terms of goals. Knock downs he is very good, but not as goal scorer. Jan Koller is a great example of how good you should be at six foot seven.

Carroll is hardly stagnating - he's been injured and unfairly forced out of the team at Liverpool by Brendan Rodgers.

Given the right service he can be devastating - his aerial prowess is something completely different to what any other striker bar maybe Crouch can offer.

I wouldn't say unfairly. He was obviously not going to do well in Rodgers' system. I think stagnation is probably a fair descriptor too, he's not moved on from his early Newcastle promise.

The second sentence is pretty much why I don't want him. Hodgson's England don't look like they're capable of playing that way. Our wingers are pretty weak in all honesty and don't necesairily play as direct as you need to to use Carroll (especially if Walcott plays through the centre) and the midfield is packed with more technical players like Wilshere and Cleverley.

I think Carroll would be a round peg in a square hole for England these days.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will be a quality winger for England in the future.

I don't think Carroll is ever going to be first choice - better players like Sturridge and Welbeck are in his age group.

We're not Barcelona, and given the decent quality of wide players we have, I still think there's a place for him. Also, it's unfair to say someone's career is stagnating because of an injury lay-off.

And that isn't really he's fault.

Great finish from Welbeck, 6 yards out, 20 yards over.

Chelsea fucking things up again, that Torres fault, if Cahill did that in training Torres would of missed the goal, so Cahill learned nothing
