Fucking hell Zlatan.

Joe Hart was responsible for about 3 of his goals mind.

Concerned about that defensive performance from us, all of them goals could have been avoided, and should have been at international level. Still, Zlatan was brilliant.

Fooking amazing Zlatan. What a player. Hopefully a few tabloid journalists have been woken up tonight.

Hart was terrible, I think all this talk of him being one of the best 'keepers in the world has gone to his head! His communication with his defence seemed awful tonight, especially as he had a new & internationally inexperienced partnership in the centre of defence in front of him. These are the situations where the 'keeper should be taking control.

Other than that it wasn't a bad performance by England. Sterling did well and Young was a thousand times better than he was at the Euro's.

I agree, but it's only from people who have seen him in a couple of Champions League games when he plays against their teams that say he's crap. Anyone who has watched a decent amount of European football over the years knows he's quality.

I did start a massive debate/argument with my friends when I suggested he is better than Cantona!!!

Jesus, I've been at work and had seen all the hype about the goal so a bit of me expected to be a little dissapointed, but it actually was amazing.

I can't wait for the English tabloids/pundits to say how incredible he is, then everyone on here to say how overrated he is.

I doubt the tabloids and pundits that have been criticising him for the last 12 years will have a sudden change of heart over one game, they'll just chalk this off with some rationalisation like "it was only a friendly".

Or it only happened because Joe Hart had a FIFA 13 moment.

I can't wait to watch Ireland play Sweden now, we're going to get slaughtered.

No, they will. It's the same way Falcao was suddenly rated by the media here, after Atléti beat Chelsea in the Super Cup, his previous seasons were largely ignored.

I remember Andy Townsend (tells you all you need to know) saying early on that Zlatan's never really performed in the big games. I like to think that that game was just one big fuck you to Andy Townsend, who also had a fun little speech about representing England when you can play for someone else, but sadly I don't remember it being hugely hypocritical.

I'm dumbfounded how anyone can pull off such technical excellence and skill. Absolutely out of this world.

It was only a friendly in fairness.

No one who doesn't rate him is going to be convinced of his brilliance because of a good goal against a largely awful England team.

The Mirror are already at it

Only Bressan and Van Basten can challenge Zlatan's last night and none of them are as skilful as Zlatan's.

It was 3 great goals, not just 1 good goal
