With one game to go we currently sit top of the league and one point above Bayern thanks to a slip up in their game in hand. We face 4th placed Mainz and Bayern face Darmstadt who we just battered. We need a win as they have a much better goal difference. Pressure is on.

Double winners

Just thought I'd share a bit of information on two of our players and my favourite players on this career.

Alberto Cerri



Alberto Cerri played his tenth season for the club last season and what a player he has been. He's our Captain and has been a key part of our success. He is now 33 years old but still a key player for us and hopefully a player who will end his career here. He has scored 212 goals in all competitions for Dresden. What a player.

Haluk



In my opinion, he's the best striker in the world. In six seasons he has scored 202 goals in all competitions for us. He's only 28 and still has a good 5-8 years to play. He has also scored 59 goals in 69 games for Turkey. What a signing this guy was on a free transfer by @Cymro.

Weren't you thinking of selling Haluk a while back @Fola because he would never score for you?

Yes... It's kind of a love/hate relationship at times.

Both good wins, the win against Nigeria maybe little to late to qualify for the World Cup. We are top of the Cup of Nations qualifier group.

Signed on a free last season. I was hoping to get some more for him, but it will do.

In addition to the youngsters above, we have quite a few of our own products knocking on the door. These two will have one more season on loan, then I think they can come play with the big boys.
