Jurgen Klopp, personally. He's got the best out of Dortmund, he's got a great relationship with his players, and he could convince the likes of Reus. Hummels and Gundogan to come with him. He'd also get the best out of Kagawa.

Doubt thats a realistic option though.

I think Simone might be interested, and he's doing a very good job at Atletico.

The likes of Pep, Klopp and Mourinho are long gone.

Chelsea are playing well. City missing Aguero and Fernandinho.

Man City are missing a whole back four going by the first half, been awful. Chelsea should have three goals and I'm sure those misses well cost them in the end.

Is Klopp out of the question though? Man United is still a considerable step up from Dortmund, he's expressed interest in managing the Premier League and he'll get to work with the likes of Rooney, Van Persie and Mata. If he gets a sizeable budget to spend, it's a great opportunity.

If Klopp is not an option, I don't see why Diego Simeone wouldn't be one to rule out too.

Think it's clear what Mourinho will try and do but I'd be surprised if they stopped City. 2-0 City I'll go for.

Got that pretty much wrong! Mourinho's got his tactics bang on.

Should be a good last half an hour.

And why have they been out injured so much? Van Persie's suffered from strains, Rooney equally. Possibly it's bad luck, but I won't be the first to tell you that there's been more than one person vocal about Moyes' training methods and the strain he puts on players bodies.

All the goings on in the summer wasn't bad luck either. Fellaini's singing was just a shambles, if Moyes wanted him as badly as he apparently did the club could have sorted it on day one, when he had a clause that would have made the whole deal cheaper. I fully believe a club of our size and magnitude are capable of buying two players at once. Fucking around with Fabregas shouldn't have affected it. And the apparent solution to the problem, to throw money around at every fucking midfielder on the planet, was appalling.

We haven't been unspectacular on the pitch, we've been shit. In fairness to Moyes we hardly played enthralling football last season either, but the primary tactic of passing it to our hopelessly out of form right winger to smash the ball into the shins of the opposition left back or out of play is certainly more prominent. In fact, I can't exactly envisage how we could play worse football than we are doing under Moyes and thats not hyperbolic, it genuinely is the worst football I can ever remember us playing.

Moyes doesn't 'deserve' anything, if he got the sack today he could have no complaints, in fact he would probably deserve it. He probably will not get sacked, he probably will get another transfer window, and he may be able to turn it around. There has been nothing however to suggest that this is a likely chain of events.

I'm not at all convinced he can do it and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he turned out to be our Hodgson.

RVP was injury prone at Arsenal, so I'm not surprised about him being injured, I was more surprised he went on the whole of last season uninjured.

The board let him down in the summer, I think that's definitely a fact, they didn't support him one bit. Woodward went to do negotiations in the middle of our Asian Tour for 'imminent transfer business' that never happened. Calamity.

Our football has been crap, definitely, but he deserves time to sort it out. I think this is exactly what is wrong with modern football, everybody demands success immediately and doesn't give the manager a chance (Chelsea being a prime example). With the majority of United fans they expect success all the time (I'm not saying you do, and not criticising you before I carry on), one bad season will cause panic with them, but there's no need for overreaction after only one season.

He doesn't deserve to be sacked. I'll be very disappointed if he's not given at least two seasons, we can survive a bad season, we've done it before.

Liverpool treated Hodgson like shit, even if I don't like him. He deserved more time, and had senile Kenny down his neck wanting the job.

Disagree, I like Hodgson too but they were desperately poor under him. We beat them 3-1 in his last game (even with that wanker Steve Kean in charge) and the players didn't look like they were playing for him at all. Regardless of what happened in 11/12 in King Kenny's full season, Liverpool drastically improved in the second part of 10/11 under him.

Superb result for Chelsea tonight, and every credit to Mourinho.

He signed a new contract until 2018 last summer and professed that he was 'in love' with Dortmund, a few months before he refuted speculation that he was going to join Madrid or Chelsea with:

“I have a contract until 2016. I have said 20 times I’ll definitely stay until 2016. Everybody thinks I say it but that if a club like Chelsea or Real Madrid come in for me, I will go. This is something I can’t change but they will see.

“I was the coach at Mainz before Dortmund for seven years. Each year I could have left for a Bundesliga club but I said ‘no, I have a contract, I will stay’. I enjoy what I’m doing here at Dortmund. It’s a great club, a great city, everything is okay.

I genuinely think there's no chance.

Simeone I think there would at least be a chance with.

Hideously bad performance on pretty much every level. I think Navas and Hart are probably the only ones to come out of it with any credit (and they weren't brilliant).

EDIT: Oh and Jovetic too. He was alright.

He's poor generally. I can't wait till we get rid of him.

Not really. I think that was just Slash, 'cos even when Dzeko's scoring he tends not to play that well.

Why didn't Pellegrini play Jack Rodwell or Javi Garcia in place of Fernandinho, given that it's their natural position, instead of moving Demichelis there? Does he really not rate them at all?

Well yeah, basically. I know Rodwell and Garcia aren't the best but surely they could have done better there than an aged, slow centre-half being played out of position.

Think its unfair to pick on Demichelis, the whole team were terrible, even Yaya was awful. Never seen him lose possession so often and then he showed absolutely no interest in trying to win it back.

García's injured and Rodwell's shit (and unfit). He didn't play particularly well there yesterday but Demichelis has played in that role a few times so far this season and looked comfortable enough to try there. The real question is why Pellegrini didn't make a change when it became clear he was struggling - especially when Yaya was having such a god-awful game.

Bang on. I'm not sure it was just a mental thing either, he looked absolutely knackered.
