No idea I have the ID in the pack but I can’t seem to find it in-game and I doubt it will be in the editor as he isn’t officially in the game, I have also started it multiple times with different variations of the Max Dowman download and none seemed to work 

Find the id by adding the preference, then edit the config of the face to the id in the save

For those of you having issues - a request for some extra information, please, so that we can try and troubleshoot and find a solution.

 

Firstly, can you all please confirm which version of the game you are using - FM24 or FM26? As we provide the new players facepack for both. For FM26, the reasons for facepack IDs being misaligned are more numerous - we have to pivot our ID numbering whenever SI release a new update for FM26 which includes new players added to the default database…as it offsets the ‘starting ID’ for newly-created players. So that could be a factor. For FM24, this is less a factor as the official DB is static and has been for some time (years) now.

 

Secondly, can you confirm how you are installing it? Are you ensuring it is placed in its own sub-folder within your ‘graphics’ folder, as it is a standalone pack (i.e. not to be merged with the main facepack)? Feel free to share screenshots if that is easier.

 

On the question posed about new players - yes, the SortItOutSI Data Update includes new players. Indeed, the facepack is a dedicated facepack for those new players and is designed for use when using the SortItOutSI Data Update.

 

If you are using ‘new player’ databases from elsewhere these could very much be interfering - as the game sequentially assigns UIDs to players from custom data files in the order they are read. So if you're using a ‘new player pack’ from elsewhere and it is being read first, it will cause all of the SortItOutSI Data Update new players to have different UIDs from the ones configured in the corresponding facepack.

 

In terms of gameplay, it is also likely you'll have duplicate players in the game. Our recommendation is not to use the SortItOutSI Data Update alongside other ‘new player’ packs/databases, for both the reason of duplicates and the potential to break facepacks.

I'm sorry, but I'm having a hard time understanding something, probably because my English isn't that good. I downloaded the 2026.00 version and, without installing anything, I created a graphics folder and copied the files from the RAR archive into it. However, I couldn't see any player faces in the game. 
 

In the update note published on December 8, it says that I should download the 2026.01 file. If I download that file and put it into the graphics folder, will everything be fixed?

Please provide screenshots of your faces folder, showing clearly the full path it’s located in as well as how many images are in that folder.

I moved my fm26 files to another ssd and I'm able to load my save game files there so I think graphic folder is suppose to be there too, right?

You need to change the game's user data folder for it to automatically load graphics from there, and it cannot do so automatically. There are instructions on how to do so in the FAQ at the top of this thread 👍

That FAQ is out of date unfortunatly. It doesnt show how to do it in FM26. It's for the older versions. Or am i looking at the wrong Faq?

And like as i said, i can load my save games from the same user data folder. So why should it be a problem for graphics folder?

Today (26 Mar 26) I downloaded the free data update for FM24 and New Facepack for Wonder Kids for FM24. 

 

They all load with the incorrect faces, the UID's for the images seemingly are all out by 1 (I looked at a few players so cannot know if all are the same discrepency but suspect they are) eg JJ Gabriel UID in game is 2002086767 but in the facepack he is 2002086766, Kai Rooney is in game 2002089720 but in the facepack he is 2002089719. 

 

Does anyone know if there is any way to mass edit the config.xml file to edit the player id +1 but leave alone the photo id alone. 

 

Will any future updates (data or facepacl) correct this incompatability, or am I missing something / doing something completely wrong. 

 

This all worked correctly when I started a game last year with a Sept 25 or Oct 25 data update and facepack at that time. 

 

Just wanted to start a new game and individually editing over 8000 files is just too much. 

Your config file is way to small. it should be around 40mb, not 0.1mb.

 

Repack your faces once again and check the file size.

Every face patches has that confix.xml right? So when i paste new face packs, what should I do? Because winrar is going to ask should paste the new config.xml file or not?

To be fair, I don't remember that something changed in terms of generating xml files. Each update has all the faces from all previous megapacks and updates.

 

@mons - can you confirm this?

Does anyone know if we can import faces to use as our manager faces I hope this makes sense.

I used the Real Name Fix for FM26 instead of FM24, changed back and all is well.
