The controller is awesome. So much better than the 360.
The console itself looks better than I thought it would. It's not as big as everyone makes out either, not that it makes much of a difference how big it is. It's completely silent though. Kinect is also smaller than I thought it would be.
Snapping tabs is sick. Can snap the football to the side of the screen while playing a game or on Skype etc. Instantly switching to TV is also pretty cool.
The PS4 might be a bit more powerful but will definitely use a lot of the extra features on this.

Not that it matters very much as my Forza order at Game is starting to turn into a right circus.
Ordered the game on Tuesday last week, get an order confirmation but never any shipping confirmation, while the payment was listed as pending by PayPal. I send Game an email over the weekend asking whether they had shipped my order or not, I get told that they did so on Thursday and that I should get it within 4-6 working days. I've yet to receive the game and two days ago PayPal cancelled the transaction.
Basically, they either didn't send me the game or they sent me the game without charging me for it. I'd say the former is more likely than the latter.

All games will have micro-transactions soon, its gonna be a "normal" thing. Easy way to make money.

Haven't gotten my console yet (And I have no idea when I will) so I can't comment on Forza 5 specifically.
Based on Forza 4 and Horizon, with "car tokens", monthly DLC packs etc, it's slightly shit, but you're not really missing out on anything if you don't buy any of it.
Barring the Porsche expansion (and that situation is all on EA) there were only about 3 cars released as DLC for Forza 4 that I would have really wanted. (And other than the LaFerrari, there's nothing really exciting in the first Forza 5 DLC either)

Theres one thing having them and then theres doing what Forza seems to be doing which is making cars so unattainable that your forced to either spend money or just not have some of the best cars in the game.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing whether the complaints are just the usual fluff about DLCs or if there's genuine substance to them. If only I would get my bloody Xbone already....
