It's still about £100 more than it should be because its bundled with kinect.

So yeah, still PS4 for me.

Pretty pathetic that they've changed their stance once they've noticed how poor their pre orders are. That is literally the only reason they've done it.

I imagine the pre-orders will continue to go that way. However all it takes is a shorter run to get the golden sold out message out, closely followed by the retards selling them for thousands at Christmas.

It's an amazing u-turn but in the eyes of the consumers who care the most they've done irreparable damage by trying to be so completely anti-consumer.

Places are running low already but only because of limited numbers being supplied, they're trying to do what the Wii did and it'll bite them on the ass.

Also this doesn't change the fact that Don Mattrick is a giant c*nt, I won't be buying a Xbox product while he's in charge that's for sure

The biggest deciding factor is still going to be what the people in your friend circle are doing. The people I play Xbox with are all buying PS4s, so if I want to play with them I go with PS4. It obviously doesn't hurt that the PS4 is a good console. I imagine the same choice is being made by thousands of people and because of Sony's strong messaging initially it will have gone a long way to getting previous Xbox owners to convert. I doubt many are just going to switch back now this has happened.

Fuck that, you need a disc in to play games now.

That was one of the things I was looking forward to most.

No you don't. They're letting you decide how you want to do it. You can buy all games digitally still.

No hes right, all the game sharing and one time install stuff is gone now. So to play a disc you will have to have it in the drive at all times even if its installed.

Surely they'll just do the thing that they do currently on XBOX 360 with the Games On Demand?

Yeah if I download it I don't need the disc, but I can't be arsed downloading 20gb+ games, it'll take forever.

Aye the speeds in convict country are fucking shit. I can see why you want that but in the end that changes are better for the majority. Get a Steam Box?

Aye you're talking 700-800kbps so about 7-8 hours per game.

Tbh I basically only play Fifa plus a few other games here and there so there's no point getting a Steam box, I already have a good iMac I can use.

The PS4 has it so I assume the Xbox One will have it too; you download a fraction of the game, maybe 200mb, then can start playing and it downloads the rest as you play.

Dont think the Xbox will have that actually, not seen anything anywhere online or otherwise to suggest they will have it :/

Did it with Last of Us though and it was pretty awesome, downloaded some of the game in like 5 minutes then started playing it while the rest downloaded. PS4 will allow you to download multiplayer first as well if you want to play that first over the singleplayer.

Pretty sure the Xbox does it too.

It will only work for certain games though. It wouldn't for games like Fifa due to there being so many teams/options etc.

Hm i cant find anything at all to suggest that though, would have thought it would be something mentioned in a press release somewhere.

I saw it somewhere that the Xbox does have that.

Can't remember where, mind.

You know that Family sharing feature they scrapped which sounded like the only good thing about the console before?

Turns out that sucked anyway:

When your family member accesses any of your games, they’re placed into a special demo mode. This demo mode in most cases would be the full game with a 15-45 minute timer and in some cases an hour...When the time limit was up they would automatically be prompted to the Marketplace so that they may order it if liked the game... The difference between the family sharing and the typical store demo is that your progress is saved as if it was the full game, and the data that was installed for that shared game doesn’t need to be erased when they purchase the full game!

Not like Xbox's marketing & PR to be so shit...Oh wait.

I wonder how many people suddenly went and preordered the Xbox One just because they sacked the DRM stuff, Sadly its probably quite a lot of people.

I've seen a few people go out and do that on Facebook, but I think a lot of people will stick with the PS4 after what Xbox did.

It's odd because with the 360 Microsoft got most of the marketing & PR spot on.

You need to pay for Playstation Plus to play any game online so the majority of people will be paying for that anyway.
