Looks like McGeady has signed a pre-contract to join Everton in the Summer.

If his final product improves you've got yourself a very good player.

He can beat a player but his crossing and finishing has never impressed me.

Jonas has just tweeted his goodbyes

Huge player for us not only in the Championship but the season we came back up and the season we finished 5th - some huge shifts he's put in for us. Shame he's been poor for a year and a bit but still one of my favourite players.

Rumours are he's off to Norwich - hope he has a great end to his career.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo reports on Sunday that Chelsea are closing in on a mega deal in the January transfer window: The signing of former midfielder Nemanja Matic.

The 25-year-old Serbian has emerged as one of the top midfielders in world football over the past couple of seasons but Chelsea will likely be ruing the fact they let Matic go in 2011 as part of the swap deal that saw David Luiz arrive at Stamford Bridge.

According to O Jogo, Matic has agreed personal terms with Chelsea and is now putting pressure on Benfica to let him leave.

Benfica have rejected a bid of 35 million euros from Chelsea but the close relations between the two clubs seems to suggest a deal will be done in the coming days.

Matic has put pressure on Benfica by reportedly refusing to play for Benfica in the mouth watering clash in Portugal today against Porto.

Chelsea though expect Matic to arrive in London to complete the deal tomorrow.

And it would be a big signing for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who would add steel and muscle, as well as technical quality to the Blues central midfield.

Still a good player on his day, but I've always found him to be a massively cocky cunt.

Good riddance.

Evra was brilliant in his prime. Bit of a knob but so are most professional footballers.

Nah, he's pretty much shite these days.

Still good going forward, but never really bothers to get back and when he is back he doesn't do that properly either.

Gonna miss him though, he's a hero.

So basically Astori. Vidal's just signed a 5 year deal and loves Juve, while Pogba's got a €4m deal on the table and really doesn't like United.

I don't understand why anyone who is playing 1st team football for the team that is looking fairly likely to win the Serie A title would want to move to United in January, other than money obviously (given United's current position)

I wouldn't be so definitive about Pogba.

He won't come back, nor do I think he would even be welcome back here, but he and Raiola are whores of the highest order. Even if he signs that contract I doubt it's worth the paper its written on, he'll just hang around until a PSG who will offer him more money come begging.

Vidal is the biggest shame though, he'd be perfect.

Look like West Ham not offer new contract for Carlton Cole

Look like West Ham hope to complete loan signing of Monaco's giant Ivory Coast striker Lacina Traore

I'm intrigued by what'll happen if they have no Cole or Traore for Saturday - do they risk Carroll for a whole 90?

With only one fit CB as well, it basically means it may end up being like the Glenn Roeder-era Newcastle, with midfielders having to fill in all over the place.

Big Sam's dream. 3 massive central strikers, Jarvis and Downing playing wing backs raiding up the line and putting in crosses/diagonal balls with Nolan to get the knock downs!

He was player of the season for a title winning Strømsgodset. He's a passing player who's calm on the ball, has great vision and a decent left foot on him too. I'm pretty sure Celtic is the best option available for him out there in terms of player development and taking the step out of Norway. Obviously still got a lot to learn, but 's a good deal for both parts I believe.
