I think we deserve more credit, Leverkusen are 2nd in the Bundesliga, beat Shakhtar 4-0 and haven't lost at home all season, that includes a draw with Bayern.

They obviously weren't at their best but we played really well. It'll probably be our best performance all season, without 4 first teamers too.

Im starting to wonder whether RVP-Rooney is really our best combo, but neither are gonna get dropped.

Noticed our set pieces are far better this season too, been really dangerous from them especially in recent games. Not something we were known for in recent seasons.

Rooney is not a creative 10 in the sense that most people expect him to be, he might score a lot of goals from there, but he's only really effective when he's got time and space that he shouldn't be afforded up there. Teams would probably get away with it if they had some creativity coming from deep, but we have fuck all of that.

Signing RVP was obviously not a bad move, but this is exactly why most people said we didn't actually need him. Neither he nor Rooney make a truly world class number 10 and the one player we do have that might change things for us can't get a look in because they're two of our biggest names.

We just have too many players for two positions, can't see both Hernandez and Kagawa both being here at the end of next season which is a shame because both of them deserve so much more.

Erm, you scored 26 goals from set pieces last season (including pens, which was 4).

He played his 'first team' (De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Young, Carrick, errm, Valencia, RVP, Rooney) almost exclusively in his first few games, then realised some of them were shit and has rotated like crazy since.
