Just looked so much more comfortable on the ball than Cleverley.

He is so bad.

Fuck knows whats happened to Cleverley.

He looked decent when he first started games for us then he got injured and came back playing shit and now has decided to try and be even worse than most of us thought possible. I mean, I'm pretty sure I can pass a football better than he can these days.

I wouldn't go as far as saying Ki is a better player though, playing for United does funny things to players.

A Manchester United and England footballer has apologised for his "insensitive" decision to appear as a suicide bomber at a fancy dress party.

Defender Chris Smalling wanted to make a pun on the popular Jagerbomb drink by strapping bottles of Jagermeister and Red Bull to his body.

Not the wittiest pun in the world.

How didn't you get it when the picture of him has bottles of jager and cans of red bull on it?

It was too witty, took me ages to get it.

Although its that rag so you shouldn't expect anything else, does anyone else hate the fact they couldn't just run with the Hitzlesburger story? They had to tie it to something negative.

Hitzlsperger isn't really front page news on his own in fairness

It is tbf. Redtops have less newsworthy things on their front page 90% of the time.

And I agree fully with there being no need to link Smalling with Hitzlsperger.

Your manager's been spotted at this afternoon's Cagliari vs Juve game, seems he's there to get a closer look at Davide Astori. Personally I think he's be disappoined, at one time Astori was one of those 'next big thing' talents but he's not really improved since he was 24/25 (he's 27 now) and if anything has regressed over the last couple of years.

He's probably there to scout Nainggolan.

I reckon its more likely he's looking at Marchisio, possibly both.

Nah, despite the rubbish in the UK media I really doubt he'll be leaving Juve, they certainly don't want to sell him nor do they need to.

As a former centre back himself I'm guessing Moyes was there to get a first hand look at Astori over the full match, especially what he gets up to off the ball.

Yeah I understand that, I just don't see him bothering to make the journey to look at a centre back we might need a bit of depth there, but I don't think its a priority position.

Well Rio's not up to much these days and isn't Vidic's agent making noises about not signing a new deal? Take those two out of the equation and your a bit short on numbers. As I said above Astori's a bit of an odd choice, he's not much of an improvement on what you've already got.

There's always a chance he was having a look at Ibarbo.

Yeah, but it's not something I'd think we'd look at doing in January when we need a right back, left back, centre midfielder and winger (or 2) more pressingly.

Astori's apparently available for the right price in the winter window, that could have forced his hand.

Welbeck has scored 7 goals and 2 assists in 11 starts. He's scored 8 goals in 15 Premier League appearances (4 of those being appearances coming off the bench). He currently has the same number of goals as Negredo and Giroud who have both played more than him: Giroud has 8 goals and 5 assists in 18 starts, while Negredo has 8 goals and 3 assists in 14 starts (19 appearances made in the league). In terms of shot conversion rates... Giroud has a 13% shot conversion rate; Negredo has an 18% shot conversion rate; and Welbeck has a 26% conversion rate.

According to MEN, Anderson is heading to Fiorentina.

It's a shame it didn't work out for him here. Love him, but he never got going.
